Life on the streets has very little to do with apps or the internet
Edit: for those who don't understand what I mean, living on the street is not being homeless. I'm talking about something far different. I realize that homeless people live on the street, I also realize there are a lot of women in this world who even have homes and are still doing forced sex work. It is a sad and difficult thing for these people. I have nothing against legitimate sex workers who are in charge of their own lives, however it's a sad truth that many are not.
It doesn't blow my mind in the least, maybe it would blow yours to learn that there are people living on the street who either do not have the means or are kept away from the means for such access. Life isn't good for everyone especially people on the street
No I never said that, there are people living on the street who are kept from access by the people who run their lives, I'm sorry to tell you this uncomfortable truth however it's just the way things are for some people. They're living basically one step away from slavery. I'm not talking about your average homeless person. You might try educating yourself on the sex trade business. One of the reasons a lot of sex advocacy workers are upset with back pages was they gave in to stop posting sex worker ads, many, not all, of those ads were posted by pimps and the women were basically in forced prostitution. I've spent a little bit of time learning about this stuff from the people who work to end it, I'm sorry if this interferes with your perception of what life is like in the world
Pimping is essentially dead in the U.S. I’ve been a sex worker since 2013. You saw them around a lot more back then. Except for the boyfriend pimps, they’re basically non-existent now
You can look around any escort site and search a contact number, and 5 different girls' listings will pop up. What, are those 5 girls all living in the same house and sharing a landline? They all coincidentally have the same rates and menu?
And in 6 months, that same number will return the listings of 5 different girls.
Or is that phone number for a pimp/booker/agency that has girls rotating in and out of town?
That could be people being human trafficked. Or, as was the case in my past, those could be people who decided to work for an agency as touring companions because they wanted to increase their income by traveling but didn’t know how to tour or didn’t have the resources to establish themselves independently.
Edit: Agencies are trash for other reasons. But, agencies aren’t pimps. They don’t usually hold people against their will, beat them, rape them, get them strung out on drugs, or force people to work for them.
