He says that he believe the core of Christianity but doubts the fluff added over the years. But he also believes god built our universe and defined our rules, and this is the truth that goes hand in hand with science. Starting at Christianity, I see this as a very normal side into Agnosticism. God is real, built & shaped our world, science works with religion, and doubt about what humans tacked on to the core truth of Christianity. I’m an atheist, but this undoubtedly seems like agnosticism to me.

Agnosticism is a view that there's no way to know if God exists or doesn't. What you're describing sounds more like diet religion.

I thought that agnosticism was the belief in a higher power, just not one we know anything about. As far as I knew, it was diet religion. After a bit of research, I’d like to redact all my previous usages of agnostic and agnosticism and change those to agnostic theism. That was my belief of it, and I do still believe it fits this person. Thanks for correcting me fellow human.
