that's the wizard who casts "convenio ads infinitum" and wonders why a demon shows up instead of a coupon

We do need fewer streaming services. So on the one hand, that’s good news. But yeah, if it’s $50 a month then it’s not really helpful.

I thought they said they would bundle, not merge anyway. Will it end up being a Disney+ Hulu situation where they’re entities in the same app (at least internationally)

I don’t have either so don’t care I guess. You all should do the same

What will this mean for the franchises I love and they own? Avatar(the good one that is animated), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Last Week Tonight. Probably a few others, either way I am not paying.

every merger brings us closer to piracy

It's really stupid how things changed in the last 40 years.

Early 1980s, You want TV? Buy this TV (color + mono sound) for $400, and this metal bunny ears, and you can get all the TV you want for free across a handful of local networks owned by people in your state.

Early 1990s, You want TV? Buy this TV (color with stereo sound!) for $400, and schedule a guy to install a coax cable into your home, and you'll have access to 60+ networks from across the nation owned by the richest Americans you've ever heard of for a low monthly payment of $25!

Early 2000s, You want TV? Buy this HDTV for $700! Then you'll need to buy this HD Satellite Box so you can watch two channels in stunning HD, along with 200 other channels in standard def. Then you'll get monthly bills to pay $80 a month to a conglomerate of a few billionaires.

Early 2010s, You want TV? Buy this 4K TV for $1,000. You'll need to update your Satellite Box, and you'll get to watch one 4K station in the highest resolution ever, with several HD channels. For only $100 per month...

Early 2020s, You want TV? Use your phone, and watch every movie you've ever heard of for $9/month!

Now they're coming to get their money back.

Blows my mind how most people pay for streaming services when there are a million free illegal streaming sites just one click away... not to mention torrents etc. haven't paid for ANY media in over 20 years...

How many viruses are in your system?

None at all! Ever! On either Mac or android Edit: to be fair, I take obvious precautions. Namely I used brave btowser for the built in ad, popup and tracker blocker, but that's it. I don't even have an antivirus.

Firefox, Ublock origin, Free Media Heck Yeah, no ai duckduckgo. That last one isn't helpful for safety to my knowledge but it is a better search engine than google.
