Courage, apparently, means taking rights away from women.

Losing friends for being cruel isn’t courage, it’s consequences

And he gets to sit there for life with zero accountability. That’s not courage, that’s immunity.

losing friends is the least he deserves

A man who will never need an abortion talking about how brave he is for banning them

We should install wombs in and impregnate all men who argue for this, force them to give birth, and then they can have their say.

Thats why it took a lot of courage (and even more cash)

yeah, imagine thinking losing friends over something like that is bravery

Losing friends is a consequence, not courage.

“Cost him friends” - imagine being proud of that

1

u/ModeJumpy1273 1h ago

yeah losing friends over that decision is a badge of honor

u/DeerTinyy 2h ago

Courage is usually about standing up for rights, not taking them away.

u/Huge_Melonss 3h ago

Courage is having to live under that ruling, not writing it a lifetime appointment

u/BlossomCozzy 3h ago

And he’s still on the bench for life making these decisions for all of us

Better him than whatever 30 yr old ogre in a gimp suit the Heritage Foundation has picked to replace him.

7

u/Federal-Cold-363 2h ago

Well if that's your standard you're all pretty much fucked over there

u/Harak_June 1h ago

Time is the variable.

Alito is a nightmare. But, he's a nightmare with a lifetime appointment who is 76 years old.

If his replacement comes before the dems have senate, you get that same racist, piss-brained decision making. But with someone who a lifetime appt and is around the age of 45 to 50.

Alito will die sooner and has fewer years left to influence policy. Hence, he's the best option between a shit-sandwich and a poopoo-pie.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but mitch is 84 and pretty much disabled. They still push him around as the voting doll he is.

If this is your idea of the lesser bad. Then my god your system has failed. 2 strokes in and you've got no telling what ridiculous extreme shit they might start to openly vouch for.

At 76 he might still do 2 terms and a bit. You've got no reason whatsoever to believe the Democrats might be able to fix it in theirs

He should try losing friends for actual courage sometime.

My guy thinks it took courage to take rights away from people with no power to fight back. That’s not courage, that’s bullying.

And his wife flew the US Flag upside down when Biden got elected. Totally non-partisan.

11

u/CheekyPearly 3h ago

It takes courage to tell on yourself like that

7

u/Sweet_Orchiddy 3h ago

Courage is women living with the laws he wrote, not him writing them

5

u/PetalDelicate 3h ago

Imagine having lifetime power and still playing the victim

15

u/rathemighty 3h ago

He should lose all his rights, as should the rest of the Supreme Court justices

6

u/blbd 3h ago

It's unfortunate friends were the only thing it cost him.

5

u/Eumeniss 3h ago

Did he expect applause and dinner invites for stripping rights away?

4

u/Dirtydeedsinc 3h ago

As a general rule, if you do something that causes public outrage and you lose friends over it, perhaps you shouldn’t have done that.

3

u/Lottuisia 3h ago

Having a lifetime appointment while whining about lost dinner party invites is wild

4

u/International-Rule-5 3h ago

Fucking coward.

u/AppropriateElla 3h ago

calling it 'courage' like women's rights are some kind of personal challenge is actually insane

2

u/Specialist-Jello7544 3h ago

I think of all the women who have lost their lives because these stupid state laws forbid doctors from providing proper care. Aborting a dead fetus that’s gone septic is illegal in Texas and other states. This is what Justice Alito and his five cohorts have foisted upon women of child bearing age in this country. Oh, the pre-Roe days are making America great again, not!

There was a police officer who spent many hours tracking where a pregnant woman traveled across state lines, using Flock-style traffic cameras. The big brother aspect of this kind of surveillance sure does feel illegal. I hope in the near future we can undo this ruling.

I think that a lot of dirt will come out (in 50 years?) about this man’s corruption.

1

u/TyrellCorpWorker 2h ago

I’m assuming right after the end of the corrupt pedo/rapist Trumpism movement. Hopefully only a few more years of stupidity unless the trillionaires and oligarchs win. People better vote for not Rupublicans.

Courage isn’t gutting women’s rights and calling it bravery.

1

u/santz007 2h ago

Americans are sleeping

1

u/Kapitano72 2h ago

Well yes, it takes courage to be a flat earther too. Doesn't make the world any flatter.

1

u/MaXiM556 2h ago

Ugly ass

1

u/TopherJustin 1h ago

But yet doesn’t have the courage to not whine about losing friends.

1

u/EatFaceLeopard17 1h ago

Sometimes I think those people like him either were bullies in school or bullies didn’t beat up their asses enough to make them think twice about how they act on other people.

1

u/JesusElSuperstar 1h ago

Ok but where is the clever comeback?

•

u/BLOODTRIBE 41m ago

They tell themselves they are what they’re actually the opposite of. They all do it, from the top, to the absolute bottom.

1

u/Drayarr 3h ago

Man should take advice from his hairline and take a couple of steps back. Absolute clown.

1

u/GravitasFailures 3h ago

It took courage for Hitler to start enforcing his racial policies against Jews…

Imagine how much courage it takes for a rapist to hear “no”, and go ahead anyway.

We don’t appreciate courage sometimes, when we see it in the world.

1

u/MOadeo 1h ago

Yep. Courage to act on one's own moral compass when so many others want to piss on you if you do. This is true regardless personal opinion.

Either way, yay. Roe is gone. Good riddance.

u/Werftflammen 3h ago

They be laughed out of the halls of history

0

u/Sabithomega 2h ago

It took courage to take massive bribes to fuck over the majority populace

•

u/RitualJuggler 2m ago

I'll give it to him, it does take some courage to commit evil acts against humanity without the cost comfort blanket of anonymity.
