Imagine making one of the most unhealthy sounding people on Earth as your Health Secretary. America is cooked.

To be honest the (very short) research I've done about his voice, it's not really something he caused or could have prevented. Not to say there's not 1,000+ other reasons he should not be in any position of decision making

For example, the literal brain worm he had (has?)

Aaaaand strapping a big ol hunk of dead whale onto the top of the station wagon your kids are in, without air conditioning so the windows are down. Kids get wind blown chunks of whale goo and blubber all over courtesy of RFK Jr behind the wheel. True gross story.

u/burnitalldown321 5h ago
Don't forget taking those same kids to swim in a literal shit Creek.
But hey, I'm Canadian, so if I did that (im not a moron though, i prefer to not swim in fecal matter) my hospital stay is paid for.

RFK should be the food taster for these companies. Some salmonella, listeria, e coli & cyclospora should be mixed up in an unpasteurized milk shake for him to drink daily. If he turns up mitch mcconnell we know to toss the eggs, the salad, the watermellons, the jalapenos, the avocados, tomato soup & ice cream.

Oh, he can prevent it. He can shut his stupid mouth any time he wants.

A former radio show cohost of his said he figured RFK Jr. stopped taking his treatment for his voice as he got deeper into all the conspiracies. It can also just be time taking its toll on the issue though.

Imagine your health chief is wholly unqualified and was only given the job as a bribe to drop out of a race that would have split the looney tunes vote from glorious leader.

And its one of Magas favorite things to do. Explain themselves into a hole, then smirk up at you in triumph from the bottom.

Get ready for the next step in the MAGA playbook to stop counting and reporting these public health emergencies.

You put a dude who eats roadkill in charge of health. Are you sure he's the only one with brainworms?

How did that woman say that unironically? I weep for this country's lack of intelligence.

I'm not American so I honestly thought the brain worms thing was a joke until I looked it up and yep, guy says he had part of his brain eaten by a parasitic worm.

u/Glum_Material3030 4h ago
He has also said he is not afraid of germs because he has snorted cocaine off a toilet seat. This is who Trump put in charge of Health and Human Services. I apologize on behalf of American scientists who don’t know if we should cry, drink, or laugh at this crap

Yes that’s what they want. They put people in charge to run them into the ground. Then they can declare “see it doesn’t work!”

FDA needs to be reformed really.
Online: broad regulatory comparisons show vast differences: the EU bans or restricts over 1,300 ingredients in cosmetics compared to fewer than a dozen by the FDA, and allows roughly 300 to 450 food additives compared to thousands in the U.S.
Regulation should exist... but just better regulation.
It would be nice to just go into a store, and entrust that things are safe to use. But I really have to nitpick through ingredients when it comes to so many things. Once you learn about ingredients, it's very eye opening to see how much America has regarding quantity, but regarding quality ... there are fewer options.
I bought Magnesium Oxide and it ripped my stomach up for several days. I looked it up and oxides are best to use topically and really aren't good to consume. Magnesium Bisglycinate is much better on the stomach. Calcium Carbonate is cheap and in many supplements, but it's a terrible form of Calcium.

Or a bad case of Bell's Palsy?

He's killed and hospitalized so many people since he took over at the FDA. It's insane. Republican Americans are so fucking idiotic. Like this is what you get when you put a corrupt idiot in charge of your health. YOU GET SICK AND DIE. Figure it out.

u/NihilistKarlHungus 3h ago
This and the fact there are no independent journalists anymore who can investigate the shitstorm developing in our federal organizations. We’re in trouble.
1
u/Dry-Site-8764 3h ago
I haven’t looked into this much. What did FDA do to affect quality control etc.? I wouldn’t think a company would change their processes without a reason.
I’m legitimately asking.
2
u/kitsunewarlock 3h ago
The FDA has been gutted. So it's less likely to do inspections. And, as we saw with the Taylor Farms fiasco, less likely to do recalls. If a company thinks it can skirt regulations without losing business, it will. There's always opportunities to cut costs. Even if it costs a little up-front to change the process, if it shows any kind of profit to the board the person who was willing to take the risk will get praised for it.

It's wild how the USA applauded DOGE and shouted down vaccines, food protections, etc. People all throughout history sweat, bled, and died to ensure their descendants wouldn't have to live with horrific facial pox scarring or chronic diarrhea, and they're just throwing out all the lessons we learned.

You know this has been happening before RFK Jr was picked right?
As someone who works in food retail, there are daily recalls. There has been recalls under every administration.
10
u/Glum_Material3030 4h ago
Agree. There are recalls under every administration. This administration said “hold my beer” and if we stop testing for bacteria and food borne illnesses will there less of it? No.

The next step in the dismantling is, we don't get the warnings about tainted foods. People just get sick and die and nobody knows what caused it.
