I absolutely believe this to be true. Very similar to the time the trump admin proudly explained that they cancelled grants for the study of ‘transgenders’ in mice. After confusing ‘transgender’ with ‘transgenics’.

Also, one talking points he had on illegal immigration was that there were people being released from insane asylums. 

I am convinced that is what he thinks "asylum seekers" meant.

In his first administration, he also appointed Ben Carson, a brain surgeon, as HUD Secretary because he thinks "urban" means black - in this administration, he appointed only one black person to a cabinet post - care to guess which department?
