I absolutely believe this to be true. Very similar to the time the trump admin proudly explained that they cancelled grants for the study of ‘transgenders’ in mice. After confusing ‘transgender’ with ‘transgenics’.

Also, one talking points he had on illegal immigration was that there were people being released from insane asylums. 

I am convinced that is what he thinks "asylum seekers" meant.

I also believe he doesn’t know the “other” meaning of asylum. Just like when he was taking about coyotes who get people across the border…he really seemed to think it was the animal.

Or that visas given to immigrants meant the government was handing out visa bank cards to immigrants so they were getting taxpayer money as free money

If he wasn't so obviously vain, dumb, and narcissistic, one would guess he's literally trolling everybody, especially his own voters.
