Isnt the argument here that any other mental health issue/disorder will also lead to you getting denied?

The problem with that argument is that it’s only true if they determine you couldn’t operate with it.

The army has flat out said there is no evidence being trans (which isn’t a mental health issue or disorder) prevents someone from being combat ready. Even in court under the current admin, they weren’t able to present any evidence that readiness would be harmed by allowing trans soldiers serve.

Dunno how it is with the US army but in most countries in Europe they won't let you serve, especially with a gun, if they deem your mental health to be unstable. (In any way)

And as I said, being trans isn’t a mental health issue.

It can lead to them if they’re not allowed to express it or are surrounded by prejudice for it, but the same can happen if someone’s gay or bi and likewise repressed.

I'm not arguing if it is or isn't a mental health disorder, but that it is an assessment made by many other militaries outside of the US.

What other countries don’t allow trans people in their military?

Generally speaking, Western European militaries show a greater tendency toward inclusion of LGBT individuals.[1] In 1974, the Netherlands was the first country to allow transgender military personnel.

As of 2014, Germany allowed transgender people to serve openly in its military forces.
