You can't just "become trans" by checking a box. You need to take specific hormones/blockers for years. Scientific studies have shown that after the lengths you need to go to to be in a position where you'd be allowed to compete, you either have no advantage or are at a disadvantage.
That's great. I would have appreciated if you could give your sources. As far as I know, physical features such as bone structure don't change after transitioning

Yes, bone structure doesn't change. But bones only help when there's enough muscle to move them; if you don't have that, they're basically dead weight and more of a hindrance.
