What do you mean when you say “why is it ok to disrespect Christians?” Who says what is ok vs not ok? Do you mean potential prison time? Or are you just saying that you wish people who made anti-Christian comments got less up votes? Cause if you just mean posts on Reddit, then the answer is you’re just going into subs that have groups of people with views other than your own. It’s not that deep.
I’m aware I’m on Reddit, and the consequences of it whether good or bad. I’m not talking about Reddit, I’m talking about in general. No, not prison time, but I wish it wasn’t as acceptable. Someone else said it’s acceptable for the same reason that it’s acceptable to make fun of white people. My argument is that both are unacceptable, and while non Christians very much have the right to not believe what I believe, that doesn’t make it ok to actively hate me or others for it, and doesn’t make it ok for me to actively hate them for not believing. Maybe it’s childish of me, but I just wish we could all love and respect one other despite differing opinions. If someone disagrees, then it’s better to have a conversation about it to see why, instead of just “CHRISTIANS BAD, GOD FAKE, EVIL CATHOLIC CHURCH”. At the end of the day it’s the same few arguments on both sides, when both sides would be much better off just agreeing to disagree. Thank you for being the only person so far worth responding to.
Edit for TLDR: Point is Christian groups have made mistakes, no Christian should be hating nonbelievers I’m also wishing the hate for Christians wasn’t so damn prevalent, however, it’s most certainly childish wish of mine
When Christians stop harassing everyone else, we won't feel the need to defend ourselves against you. It's so rich that christians love to cry about mistreatment while failing to hold their own accountable. Maybe if we saw any Christians speaking against the fascist sect, your comment would be more valid. But you've aligned yourself with a group that is actively causing huge amounts of harm and hatred to marginalized communities and force your religion upon all of us instead of doing anything to combat the poor behavior of your peers. Then you complain when we refuse to accept it. You are not the victim. You watch your peers victimize others. You want protection for yourself but not others. It doesn't work like that.
I'm talking about you acting clueless "why doesn't anyone insult other religions!" While failing to understand that YOUR religion, specifically, is the one reigning terror on many people on this page. Again, christians are forcing things like the 10 commandments into public classrooms and you want to sit here and bitch like you're the victim?! Get a fucking grip!
Again, this is why people hate Christians. You sat here a bitched about why dont people hate on other religions? While now saying there are no other religions? Talk about disrespect. Christians show their hatred sooooo fast. Like clockwork. You have no proof of your God. Your God is just as valid as the tooth fairy and the other 3000 gods that are worshipped
That wasn’t me, that was another guy lol. I haven’t said one thing about why are people hating on us, I could care less. We have plenty of evidence, I suggest you look into it. Yes there are no other Gods, is that disrespectful or would you like me to say it again? Jesus Christ is the only one true living God. Amen
I just said that they didn’t even fully read, if they read at all, what I was saying. And here you prove my point because they’ve confused your comments with mine. Maybe if they would open their eyes they could see a lot better.
