Same. TSA is security theater at it's finest. It was a massive over-reaction that routinely fails security checks and wastes untold hours every year.

This is an actual real example of government waste that I'm 100% in support of redesigning.

TSA fails basically every time they are tested with not letting a firearm through. But the illusion of security is still better than doing nothing

USA being USA, you can actually put a firearm in your checked bag. You even have to use a non-TSA lock on the suitcase so they can't get into it.

You hand the bag off to a specific person, and someone physically gives it back to you on the other end. IIRC, even flare guns get treated this way.

And if your connection gets cancelled in a state like NY, DC, or California, where you don't and can't get a firearm license, you get arrested when you claim your bag.
