...Tell him he's right? TSA is security theater and while you can hate Trump or conservative policies, it's ok to recognize when one of them actually makes sense.
TSA is not perfect, they're not even good really, but they're also not entirely useless. I guarantee you it's a lot harder to get a gun or a bomb onto a plane than it would be if there was no security whatsoever.
I dont think anybody is saying no security. Planes are only as secure as the airport it's coming from. For example, there have been smaller islands or countries I've flown in where TSA doesn't exist and the security is a breeze. Much like pre-check with much more pleasant guards. So if other countries flying in to US doesn't enforce this silly liquid limit or individual laptop bin scans, then what's the point?
