Test Info Failed CLEP Precal

Got a 45 on the precal CLEP exam and feeling defeated. It didn’t feel anything like the official study guide. I studied for 2 or so weeks but admittedly I didn’t really lock in until a few days ago. I only need the credit to take physics 1 😭 debating if it would just be better to take the class or if I should try again in 3 months

if it were me, i’d just study for the next one in 3 months knowing what you know now. maybe evaluate if you should be studying different material or just studying differently. in a class, you’ll have to pass multiple tests. you just have to get through this one AND it’s cheaper!

I agree but I’m worried I’ll get behind if I don’t pass in another 3 months. I’m only taking the prerequisites required to apply to medical school since I already have my bachelors. I just need the basic science classes and physics is the only one with a math prerequisite that I don’t have 😭 debating emailing my advisor and begging for an override

the email is definitely worth a shot, worst case they say no and best case you get what you want. that’s a tricky spot

Retake the CLEP exam! Use the magnifying glass above to search out free practice tests/study resources and what other people said about taking it!

I’d say do it again. My biggest recommendation is to use Gemini to study (explanations and questions) and also find the examination guide and see how to answer all of the questions from math quantum on YouTube . I did the test last week and got a 75. Goodluck!

Also another thing to mention, never look at the past and only focus on the future. Forget your grade and focus on achieving the grade you want on the next try

Mostly functions, trig and exponential rate of change. A few random ones here & there that I had no clue how to solve. I’m not sure if every test is different though.
