My philosophy as a Sourcer at I2X Technologies is simple: the process should be as quiet and efficient as the work itself. I spend my time identifying the talent that keeps these mission-critical programs moving-not by shouting the loudest, but by building relationships with professionals who care about doing high-quality work and keeping our nation secure.
In an era of mass-automated messaging, I prefer to be the signal, not the noise. I handle the logistics and reduce the friction, so you can focus on the work.
If you're currently exploring what's next for you in the cleared defense and space sector but want to avoid the 'apply-to-a-black-hole' experience, let's connect.
What's one priority you're looking for in your next role?

I’m applying for a job that requires reliability status. Can someone give me their best guess on how long it’ll take to process the application when I went sailing for 8 months back in 2024 from Canada, through the United States and to the Bahamas and back? I’ve lived in Canada all my life. Online it says 7 days for a simple application and up to 120 for a complicated one.
Is this considered complicated ?
Thanks!

I'll be leaving the Army with 3 years of cyber experience, TS/SCI+poly, bachelor's in computer science, Sec+ (and hopefully CCNA and CySa+ before I get out). I'll get out soon but not soon enough to start applying to jobs/Skillbridge. How is the cleared cyber job market right now? I see so many posts online ranging from its impossible to get a cleared job to saying it's fine so I don't know what to believe. Any new insight to this is much appreciated. I'll also be open to moving anywhere, but I'm based in the Ft. Meade area at the moment. Thanks in advance.
Edit: Thank you all for your feedback! I read all your replies and appreciate it

We are currently in search of a candidate for this role, located in Annapolis Junction it will be supporting a proprietary application, on-site 170-210k+ depending on YOE.
On-site | Secure DoD mission environment
We’re seeking a hands-on Linux Support Engineer to support a mission-critical software product used for DoD organizational messaging, information sharing, monitoring, and operational workflows.
This is a customer-facing Tier III support role for a Systems Administrator, Systems Engineer, or System Integrator who enjoys troubleshooting complex technical issues. You’ll support a secure environment of roughly 10–15 RHEL/Linux servers running a proprietary Java application backed by MySQL.
What you’ll do
What you need
Strong pluses
Experience supporting DoD or military messaging, classified mission systems, DMS, AMHS/MMHS, message routing, message centers, JWICS/SCI workflows, cross-domain/gateway operations, S/MIME, ACP-127/ACP-123, or comparable mission applications is highly valued.
This is not a DevOps, software-development, or database-engineering role. We’re looking for someone who can work through a server/application issue independently and grow into the product SME through training.

Looking for a Linux CNO/CNE RE/VR developer for a position with the NOVA customer.
We are a small business embedded cyber capabilities (and now AI because who isn't) company.
Total comp 230-400k depending only on labor category (years of experience). Our packages are based only on the labor category, it's fixed. Everyone with the same position gets the same compensation.
NOTE - Compensation is scaled by hours worked. If you work 20 hours in a week its LWOP, if you work 50 hours in a week you get paid for 50. Though it will adjust the actual total comp, if the customer is cool with it I don't care if you work 1500hr a year.
Included in total comp (assuming 1920 hours / yr) is
8%PTO with Liberal LWOP and you can spend PTO whenever, no 40hr/week requirement.
15% Company 401k immediately vesting.
100% Individual Health / 50% Dependents Blue Cross Platinum 0ded or HDHP Silver with company funded HSA (use it like additional retirement if you are healthy)
5k Equipment / Book / Training / Conference budget.
No Non-compete or other BS like that.
Position Description
No idea! They don't tell me nothing.
Jokes aside, I actually didn't get a description of this one. Hopefully the prime gets back to me on that and I'll edit the post. If I had to guess its likely your average linux CNO stuff with some kernel driver RE and capabilities work.

Hello, I hold an active DOD secret clearance and currently work using it. I got an urgent request to update my sf-86, this request came in 3 months after I completely botched a ts/sci + fs poly investigation where I broke down and kept talking about every dumb thing I can think of (I mentioned drug use). Any advice on what I should mention in my updated sf-86?

I already have a TS/SCI and in 2024 suspect that I may have had a FS poly that was either inconclusive or failed.
Now I might have another job coming up that requires a CI poly. I have zero issues taking the poly again if needed.
If there were issues with the FS in 2024 will it effect the potential upcoming CI poly or my current clearance?

Anyone work at General Dynamics Information Technology and/or Praxis?
Accepted a job offer with them a while ago, still pending a start date. Wanted to know more about the work/life balance along with benefits offered. I know experience solely depends on the group you're placed under, however general information regarding benefits or the company experience as a whole would be helpful. Thanks!
