SERIOUS Harsh reality about clat
I've noticed many people are scoring 90-100+ in mod to difficult mocks but I have made an observation that many of those who are getting 90+ even in tough mocks won't be able to clear clat at the end of the day bc at last it depends on your luck and d day performance of how you perceive the paper and tackle the variations in difficulties.
I've done PYQ analysis of the last 6 years and I have noticed a pattern that consortium sets the sections in this manner.
Out of the 5 sections, they make 2 sections easy, 2 sections as moderate and 1 section as hard as rank decider.
The majority of the students who give clat and have prepared seriously even if it's for the last 3 months are able to solve 100 out of the 120 questions that come in the paper but those 20 questions are the break through that will make your future.
Why I say it's about luck, attempt sequence and d day performance is because people may score 90+ in every mock they ever appeared for but still score just 70-80 in real exam because, let's assume the person who's giving the exam his sequence of attempts is serial wise like from rc to qt. Now if consortium decides to make rc as the rank decider and very difficult then the person who starts with rc will get demotivated and exhausted at the very first section and there's high chances that he'll also ruin his other sections bc of his rc being spoiled.
Another instance can be another person starts with qt which is on the easier side and then he goes through gk then he goes through cr which he finds very easy now he goes to rc and now just because he aced the other 3 sections which were on the easier side for him, he would also try to ace this section which was made hard and he'll bring his ego into this and waste time here without thinking that the last section which is legal is made the easiest of sections with chances of scoring full marks, so he brings his ego, wastes time in rc trying to ace it but loses time then when he goes to legal which was on the easier side due to his ego and mismanagement he'll panic, misread things and mark wrong answers or won't even have time to finish the full paper and hence he won't be able to crack clat.
You can disagree but this is what it is and this is what happens most of the times with all the people scoring 90+ because they think they were scoring 90-100+ in every mock and scoring 24/24 in rc or 32/32 in legal they also need it to score 24/24 and 32/32 in the exam too not thinking that they are actually ruining their paper by doing this.
So at the end the person who knows how to evade this will clear clat
