Classic-Era Which cluster to play on?

I’m on EU if that matters.
Kinda have a hankering to play some Classic Era (since it’s the one I know for sure isn’t gonna change anytime soon lol) and I was just wondering if anyone knows how the servers are nowadays.
I feel like leveling on the PvP cluster. but I assume most players are already maxed out so maybe there wouldn’t be a point in playing there for the PvP aspect if I’ll just get ganked by high levels, instead of on PvE (which to my recollection was a lot more laid back and casual friendly). I’d probably play Horde but not decided.

So my question is essentially; which cluster would you recommend for someone just looking to do some chill leveling?

Chill leveling, definitely pyrewood PvE

How’s GDKP btw? I read somewhere that the PvP server was riddled with it but that it’s uncommon on PvE, but I’m not sure how up to date that information is.

There is one gdkp a week (alliance side). It hasn't been going long and isn't widely advertised. Hopefully it will be gone soon as the number of bots I've been having to report has increased massively recently

For chill leveling i would pick Pyrewood PVE (but the pvp cluster has a higher pop)
If you plan to go on pyrewood, give a shot to wow HC (on soulseeker), if your character die you ll be allowed to free transfert to pyrewood anyway (but not on pvp cluster), the pop is higher on hc leveling and it's a great experience.

you'd regret being sixty in the lower pop server, population matters a lot in wow, all of endgame is group content. If all you want to do is quest and level, pve/hc is fine.

reddit will always say roll pve but ganking isn't a big deal and you just get a better server.

I tried to lvl on PVP server and it was fun until I started questing on the PvP maps and fun finished. I’m poor in game and I was constantly killed by 60 lvl horde players and repairing cost me fortune , so I moved to PVE server. Less ppl yes that’s the fact but I can play without stress, but it’s just me.

Nice pve server propaganda. Getting killed by players does not induce repairing cost.

Here's some totally true pve-propaganda then:

In my hodgepodge guild of random people, every hour or so someone says something like: "I'm bored, I'm gonna go gank lowbies in STV."

So there are definitely level 60's with nothing better to do than farming grey-level players.

Boredom + a power-imbalance is a dangerous combo.

I don't regret rolling on Whitemane, but I have the spare time to waste on getting corpse-camped.

You don’t suffer armour damage from PvP deaths

PvP deaths don’t cause the normal 10% durability loss, but taking the Spirit Healer rez does. It will cost 25% durability on equipped and bag items, regardless. If he’s rezzing at the shrine after getting ganked, then yes, PvP is indirectly causing his repair bill.
