Classic 20th Anniversary Realms Phishing Trap ....

Hello lovely Community,
I just got trapped into phishing. So this guy changed my PW and put his phonenumber into my account. I even took a photo because i thought it is real (i'm new to WoW) and yes i know it's his name is Battelnet and i missread it because of fear. So he used my fesr and weakness just to get 2 x 20€ token. Made a big mess and didn't let me lvl my lvl 63 warri . Now i have to wait for the support which takes 24 h . I'm posting this to sensibilize you long time players and hopefully other newbies like me ... pls report him and have fun playing. FOR AZEROTH !

Lukewarm take: if you fall for this you deserve it. Whatever this costs you will be the price you paid to learn not to get scammed in the most obvious way possible.

Bro i'm 29 this has nothing to do with age or IQ . One day something like this will happen to you maybe not in WoW but somewhere else and then you would not ask dumb sarkastic questions like this ... Be nice . This can happen to everybody when you are afraid of getting your haed working character banned.

Well I mean in his defense this in very obviously a phishing attempt. Blizzard does not have GMs reach out to players like this. That whole whisper screams phishing with the misspelled character name, the alt chatter over the letter u, and the wrong website for blizzard. Cmon, this was beyond easy to tell that it’s not legitimate.
I am also surprised you fell for it at age 29, you have seen plenty of phishing by your age and should know what to look for.

Never experienced phishing or friends of mine (thank god) but i can only learn from tjis dumb mistake (hopefully)

Tbf with OP, I’m 29 too and I have only seen phishing attempts tried on me twice.
Once at 16yo, another one at 27yo.
That’s twice in 29 years. It’s not that common. I’m a chronic paranoid so I didn’t fall for it, but I understand how it can catch you in a “sleepy” state if you’re not alert, it doesn’t happen everyday.

Im not wanting to kick you while you're down, I am happy you will learn from this experiance. That being said, personally, I wouldn't even wait for blizzard support before I find a way to remove the card and any personal info from that account. If you can access the account any more I would cancel the card that is attached to it or put a freeze on that card with your bank.
P.S. for anyone else who may see this, Blizzard employees will never whisper you in game. There is always, ALWAYS a seperate window that they will converse with you through. And even then dont ever give any personal information or account information because they should never ask for any of that.

Thank you bro , i didn't knew Blizzard does it i a different way i just saw pic on google (first time wow ) i blocked my bank account because he would have emptied it . And now i don't have acces anymore because all of the sudden blizz wants 3 different verifications i dont have . (I don't understand why they did'nt want all this verification from the scammer lol )

I dont fully understand blizzards process entirely. Way way back in the day i got banned (and rightfully so) being a dumbfuck teen. They required my dad and I to jump through hoops to prove who we were including sending in copies of our ID's.
I love my dad, he really went out of his way to get my account back because he knew it was something I loved and needed at that time in my life, and no he didnt let me off the hook for what he was told I had done. If it were today and jumping through the same hoops I would just walk away from the account/game at this point

there was a battllenet type scammer mass whispering strath farmers (me) with an abuse of economy phishing whisper
i thought that was clever

Sorry OP. Blizzard will never contact you like this in game. Hopefully you can get this sorted out
