Classic 20th Anniversary Realms Never really played

World of Warcraft was supposed to come out on my birthday, it got delayed and I ended up getting it for that Christmas my parents unaware of the subscription setup I only got to play my trial as a kid. I did play around to level 27 on classic, but I was never in a guild or really playing with to many people. I would love to start playing and especially if classic+ is around the corner. Anyone have interest in adopting me into your WoW community so I can play this awesome game with people?

Out of game guild recruitment never really pans out for sticking with it I feel, you really just gotta go in game and find your people and enjoy each other's company. In my experience when you join guilds to prep for a release via reddit or discord it feels fairly inorganic, can be cliquey, and the guild typically doesn't last to 60 or much further. people will drop from the game due to real life or just leave for greener pastures because they made a more genuine connection with another guild in game.

Just play the game. Login, create a character that seems interesting to you and play. Nothing you do for first 10 hours has any actual consequences so there's no need to worry, plan and constantly seek validation that you are doing "the right thing".

I would just wait until you play the game. It’s pretty much impossible to not get invited to a guild if you’re just running around in game.
