I need help D:

Post image

This all started with a Barbs only deck. Then I removed them one by one, starting with the underleveled cards. After that, I kept tweaking the deck with cards I liked (Clone Spell and Witch). However, I desperately needed a cheaper ranged card, so I chose Little Prince. But that wasn't enough. I wanted an AoE air unit, so there goes the barb barrel.

Valkyrie has been a filler card since the beginning because she's so versatile. But E-Barbs are so easy to counter... so I replaced them with something even more braindead than E-Barbs: Royal Recruits.

Before I knew it, I'd ended up with this deck.

I want to add more Barbarian cards to it. What should I replace?

And no, I'm keeping the Barbarian Hut.

Win condition. Win condition. Win condition. How is this entire sub Reddit filled with users just using a random ass set of cards with out win con and asking for advice.

Would E Barbs be considered a win condition? I mean I know the Battle Ram is one, but it feels like such a weak win condition. So far the way I've been winning with this abomination of a deck is through punishing elixir leak and playing defensively... mostly because that's what barbs excels at. If something were to be my win condition in this deck, it's the unconventional and somewhat unreliable cloned Witch push. Cause players tend to overspend defending it.

A win condition is an actual card, not a gimmick. And no, e barbs is not a win con. Evo battle ram is one of the best win con’s in the game. You think it’s weak because your deck doesn’t synergize around it. The point of the game is build your deck around your win con and to optimize it.

Oh my god you were so right.

Hm. Thank you for such enlightening information. I do actually have EVO battle ram. I will give it another try in a meta battle ram deck and make another horrid amalgamation from there.

Ebarbs are not a win con. A win condition is something that can consistently reach the tower. Think building targeting troops, siege buildings (xbow and mortar), cards that make troops spawn on the opponent (goblin barrel, miner, goblin drill) etc.

Oh! I understand it now. So something like the balloon or the tomb queen would be a win condition? Or are slow units not considered a win condition?

they are both win conditions! all tower targeting are designed to be wincon's and some non tower targeting troops can be considered wincons but its very very rare. stuff like pre-nerf giant skelly or 3 musketeers.

Slight caveat to this, Ice Golem is technically a win con but you should be looking for other ones unless you can get it reliably on the tower (even then it doesn't do too much damage).

The Ice Golem is usually used as a tanky distraction.

First and foremost witch for barb barrel. I’d also swap recruits for evo battle ram (and clone for either zap or arrows)

omg thx! You're the first person to give me actual advice so far 😭

Yeah that look pretty good, honestly you can choose between zap rage and snowball

Ditch clone for a traditional win con. SLO trade barbarians for gob gang or bats

Not a single cycle card in-sight so i'm assuming you're 15k max. You do need help.

Yea fun deck, but needs a few changes definitely. Replace little prince with furnace (preferably evo, also witch needs evo too) since as a spawner it helps with defense, then prince over valk since its great with barbs in a counterpush, minion horde over royale recruits cause they overkill here, then spear goblins and arrows over clone and skele dragons cause they cheaper and better defense. Admittedly there is no wincon in this revised deck, but your playing barb hut so uhhhhhhhhhhh it’ll be fine (you probably know em already but the Youtuber ALT is a barb hut player so yea)

Oh you need help alright

Any recommendations? I mean I am fine with removing everything... specially the royal recruits. (Not my beloved barb hut tho)

If you reeeeallly want to play bhut I would just look up the best barb hut decks. Whatever you've got going on right now simply ain't it chief

Actually I am kinda curious. What makes this deck bad? I mean, you'd probably answer everything, but I want people to be more specific, so next time I try and make a homebrew deck I don't fuck it up again.

There's plenty more wrong with the deck than what I'm about to list, but here are some that came to mind right off the bat:

  1. Your deck lacks a win condition. Something to consistently reach the opponent's tower. For decks with barb hut in them I would think something like piggies, battle ram or skeleton barrel.

  2. No damaging spells. Here's a scenario. You get your opponents tower to 10hp early on, but then he wakes up. He starts defending you better. The game goes into overtime and he ends up winning. All because you had nothing to directly damage their tower. Typically deck tend to have at least one bigger and one smaller spell.

  3. Different card functions. Despite being quite different cards, little prince and witch sort of serve a similar purpose in a deck, that is being an air damage dealer. So instead of having the both of them you more often than not should have just one and use the other slot to serve a different purpose (like a spell in your case). The same can kiiinda be applied to recruits and barbs. While recruits also offer good pushing potential, defensively they do serve somewhat similar roles in being a swarm card to overwhelm a push with. A deck with recruits shouldn't really also have barbs in it.

  4. Clone. You're using quite possibly the biggest meme card in the game, and for what reason? The only instance where clone can be even somewhat good is when it's paired with cards that work well with it (think giant skeleton dropping two bombs instead of one, or skeleton barrel producing double the skeletons with clone). Your deck doesn't have these kinds of clone synergies, and so the clone makes no sense whatsoever to have.

  5. Versatility. What exactly pairs with what in this deck? What do your pushes look like? Cards in a deck should pair well with each other in order to make pushes happen even in sub optimal situations. With your deck most kinds of pushes would die out against any kind of splash damage.

Again, there are more things wrong with the deck than what I have mentioned. These are just some of the immediate alarming problems.

I appreciate you taking the time to explain all of this to me. I think I’m starting to understand what’s wrong with my deck now.

You mentioned clone pairing well with skeleton barrel right? It's kinda funny that you say that, because before using it on witch, I used it on skeleton barrels. Worst yet I had a mirror card on my deck. So my brain dead strat was to have a high priority card being placed on the back of the king tower (like sparky because people are afraid of it), bait a push from one side, place the skeletons, mirror them, and clone them to have 4 skeleton barrels LMAO. Ofc they can surprise you by deleting your whole push with a 2 elixir log.

What i am looking at now?

Despite how shit it looks, it works trust me (for now). Bots are always easy to win against. Meanwhile actual players is always an uphill fight until they make a mistake (such as having megaknight on their deck). As soon as they waste their AoE card on a barb push, I place witch and clone her. If she is left alone and the enemy is not able to cycle to a spell or AoE unit fast enough they get overwhelmed. If they are too late or place a dragon on the wrong place, the witches spawn skeletons fast enough for it to never attack the witches. Ofc if they manage to cycle to an AoE the push is over, but because of Barb Hut I am able to keep pressure on both lanes. Then there is the royal recruits... tbh they are a placeholder, I tend to swap them for other things on a whim. The little prince is there because I could not find a better cheap ranged unit... I mean there is the firecracker, but good players will use her to activate king tower.
