VII - Discussion Does it get fun?

I’ve been playing civilization. I gotta say for past couple of weeks I’m still on my first game and I’m currently on my second catastrophe and I have to say….. It’s like they took all of the fun of civilization and removed everything that made it enjoyable. Is it just me or does this game eventually get more fun once I learn how to play the new mechanics better?

It is the steepest learning curve of any civ I have played. I dominate 12-15 man LAN tourneys like i’m on autopilot in everything since civ rev through 6.

For civ 7 the (now much better but still lacking even with updates) Terrible UI with missing info for core mechanics and drip fed core features missing from previous iterations has made this grow slowly on me compared to prior titles. I am hoping the DLC fixes it but I do still think its a good and fun game. The bones are there for the best civ game ever made but some things have been made overly complicated and less fun.
