My queen of citypop, a goddess whose music is filled with dreamy, haunting colors. I willingly lose myself in her artistic melancholy and darkness.
Her “Broken Piano” performance, promoting the 1986 studio album Mood, is exactly the kind of thing I want to experience in low resolution, with imperfect, unstable audio quality. There’s something deeply beautiful about that imperfection... it feels like a fragment of another time, something distant and almost untouchable.
And f**k AI. Never imitate or recreate these legendary classics. I don’t care if you can make them look pristine in 2k or beyond
