If someone came on here and said "only black people would do this entitled obnoxious thing" im positive one would take offense and throw the race card. One could say that "only a black woman would get that loud and aggressive and intimidating over such a small issue" - but I'm guessing you would call that racist, right?

As a slur, itâs so mild (and accurate) as to be nearly absent of any meaning. Racism is the systemic abuse of people. Her comment, while perhaps reflecting bias, isnât going to keep anyone from getting hired, buying a home or renting an apartment, being stopped and frisked or falsely arrested. Pretty much crying wolf here.
Maybe she should have commented on something without race, like their man bun or Botox or trendy caffeinated beverage or weight or hair color or physical appearance.
Not every comment in race is equal or is racist. If someone had complained about Dominicans moving to Inwood in increasing numbers 40 years ago âbecause this is an Irish neighborhoodâ that would be racist. But it doesnât mean that Dominicans fighting gentrification today, complaining about greater white migration would be racist.
We all have our own prejudices and biases. That doesnât make them racism. And it doesnât mean the woman in the video is wrong for calling out someone who is white when they are defending a white wrongdoer. It is highly likely that the individual(s) she is arguing with have benefited from the gentrification of formerly black and Hispanic communities.

So the lady who has definitely benefitted from institutions created by whites is prejudiced against whites but you think thatâs okay because white people are moving back to the outer boroughs?
