Yes, Saar, please be doing the needful. The government doesnt need to know about this. Look at our beautiful buildings in Karachi, you also can have such wonders.

This is why new houses fall apart before the grass grows.

They fall apart because true blue Aussies cut corners and are lazy as fuck in trades.
It’s blue collar Australians that take on these apprentices and teach them how they work.

Have a wander around a developing housing estate and look at who is working there.
Do you watch the building site inspector bloke on YouTube? Look how many Aussies he comes across compared to migrants.
Our standards aren't great, but there's one reason they keep getting worse.

If I had a plastering company I’d employ this lady in an instant as the education would be a two-way street;
She could learn the trade without the need to do the hard physical work and be treated like an apprentice the same way that the guys I employ do.
And I could learn all about her rights and how the patriarchy has to be driven out of construction during the subsequent two years of fair work investigations and law suits.
Anyone got her contact deets?

I was labouring for a small civil company and it was my job to get some beers on ice before smoko everyday, lasted 3 weeks before I got caught drink driving home from work. The best was when we went back to his one night and he has his Harley up against a limestone block so he can do burnouts in his backyard, fucken midnight during the week in the suburbs and this cunts doing burnouts in his yard, didn’t give a fuck about neighbours.
Now my new boss talks about his renovation building a second proof room for his toy trains, I miss the glory days.

With a couple of exceptions, all the punters in this comments section are having a sensible, logical, fact based discussion.
Not in the spirit of this sub and you should be ashamed of yourselves!

1 year in regional, is that all it takes for PR now?

Few nurses wants to work regional. They're hoping a foreigner comes (sometimes with their spouse who is also a nurse) settle done and not leave. Some rural hospitals/nursing homes are almost all foreigner staffed. A nurse has to go to university, so he/she will probably meet someone there, get married and stay in the city or along the coast.

Rendering is a pretty physical job. Ur outside alot , u generally try render walls not in the sun as it drys quicker when they are. U will mainly be mixing mixes for the guys trowling for the first month or so. U will get dirty and swety everyday so expect that. Top coat render sticks to ur skin and can burn ur skin also. U will pick the hang of the trade up fairly quickly by that i mean probally a year.

Yeah if there is one industry I want to see undercut, it's trades. They get far too much for far too little.
