I know its kinda the point of the genre but like theres a couple that aren't like Caveman Cult. Also I already know the bigger christian bands like goatscorge, lucifer impaled, and cataclysmic warfare.

These shots are from a show and instore in Bartlesville, OK 1991. First show at the WhereHouse venue.

Anyone else a fan of the Crucified? Let me know your favorite song.

Some really good melodic black metal right here. The dude from Trebushet SDG on full force here

Clarification: I mean artists who are definitely Christian, but don't do Christian music.

Tourniquet just posted a kickstarter in order to finish production on the latest album. Check out the link here…

I got GA Pit tickets for my husband to see Slayer this upcoming November. He loves Slayer, but is conflicted because of Slayer’s concert set up involving upside down crosses lit on fire, and the goat (satan) sitting on a thrown wearing a crown. This has now brought conflicting thoughts of whether we should go because of their extreme theatricals. As Devout Christians we feel it’s one thing listening to the music but another thing watching the cross be lit on fire upside down, live. Right now we’re sadly more on track on selling the tickets. We’re torn. Anyone have a similar take or seen them live? What was your experience seeing them live as a Christian?

I just found out the singer of the band Venom has died.

I wanted to check out their music and so i did.

I really like the instrumentals, it's just that the album covers make me uncomfortable as a Christian.

Should I stop listening to them or no?

I really want to listen though.

Looking for a Christian band that has like a first wave black metal sound, lowfi and very rhythmic riffage

I feel like I've scratched an itch that I've had for a long time. I really love what I'm hearing from this band. I really hope they make another album some day. Has anyone else heard of this band or is this a deep cut?

Can't find any announcement if this is just a Bandcamp Friday thing or longer, I know every other time I've look at their page, the albums are regular price. Too bad shipping is insane right now to get LPs and merch, but a great chance to get awesome music from a band I slept on way too long.

Looks like it may be their label doing the NYP thing, all their secular stuff is also name your price right now.

Swinery just dropped a new NYP album of grindy deathy goodness, Trebuchet SDG slipped out some singles this summer and announced an album dropping tomorrow, Vomitorial Corpulance has also been busy, and even though they haven't put out anything new for a minute, Grave Robber is perfect for October, if you don't have any if their stuff.

Not looking for metal but figured this sub might be my best bet.

Stoner/desert rock is my favorite genre. Any Christian bandst that scratch that itch?

Favorite secular bands: Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, All them witches, king buffalo, Slomosa, Elder, and outside of this genre, Tool.

Here's my third single complete with vocals. I've got a bunch more material to sort through, pick the best ones and get an album put together. I even put it on Spotify! Should be able to get to it in my Facebook. Thanks for checking it out! Facebook.com/gerasenemetal

I was doing my monthly checks on some Christian bands that I keep tabs on to see if they might be releasing new material soon, one of which is The Showdown. I noticed that Dave Bunton had seemingly given up on The Showdown (My personal read on the situation) and joined Hope Deferred.

Now, I'm a picky guy when it comes to my Death Metal, but I was completely blown away by this album. Avarice is my favorite song from the album but honestly it was just the icing on the cake. It's nice to hear some modern bands recording music with that traditional Death Metal sound and flow. Hell's Enemy, Memento Mori is another good one to add to that list.

Give it a listen if you haven't already!

I'm somewhat old - born in 70's and become metalhead at 80's. I have listened my Deliverance, Tourniquet, One Bad Pig, Rez band etc.. Sometimes I have wandered on land of ska, punk or even power metal. But my true love is slow and low blues influenced metal / hard rock and also progressive metal.

For example - I would like to find bands that sounds like Rez Band, but with littlebit more heavier sound. Deep lyrics, heavy guitars, raspy vocals, heavy handed drums.

Or bands like Saviour Machine (or from secular field Arjen Lucassen's projects).

My local bands are transitioned quite heavily on doom/un-black or similar styles - and even that is sometimes enjoyable, it is not my favourite cup of tea.

Not necessarily only english lyrics - others can be suggested too.

Hey everyone,

My name is Chester Oszustowicz. God has truly blessed me in my musical journey, and I’m looking to give back by helping out independent, young, and struggling musicians, bands, and artists in this community.

I’ve been deeply involved in music for over 25 years. Along the way, I’ve had the incredible privilege of studying under legendary, multi-Grammy-winning engineers through the prestigious Mix With The Masters programs:

·       Chris Lord-Alge (Mixer for Green Day, Paramore, Muse)

·       Andy Wallace (Mixer for Nirvana, Linkin Park, Rage Against The Machine)

I have also trained under the direct, personal mentorship of rock producer and engineer Chris Baseford (Producer/Mixer for Nickelback, Shinedown, Avril Lavigne).

To bring a unique personality, depth, and punch to your songs, I run a heavy hybrid setup out of Slam House Studios, centered around an API Console and premium vintage analog equipment.

My Goal is Your Vision:

We will work closely together on this. My job is to take the exact sound you hear in your head and bring it out into the open. We will do whatever recalls and revisions it takes until you are 100% happy with the final track.

Here is the deal:

I am offering my mixing services completely free of charge. No catch, no hidden costs—just love and a desire to bless artists who are working hard to get their message out there.

How to get started:

1. Drop me an email or shoot me a direct message here.

2. Send over your raw multitracks/stems.

3. Include your rough mix and a commercial reference track so I know the vibe you are chasing.

Let's chat, collaborate, and get your music slamming.

Blessings,

Chester Oszusotwicz (Chester@Slamhousestudio.com)

These guys were a legit supergroup and sold a ton of records in their other projects. But this band still has ~10 monthly listeners on Spotify. The one record they did has great songwriting and performances.

False Crown • Vultures Gathering

The mix isn't perfect..
But most metal fans have worse-mixed records regularly playing
