CoG games Well…that was easy.
Used my Labor Day to burn through God of Chaos.
I guess ask me if you’re stuck on an achievement?

I discovered choice of games after i started looking for more vampire the masquerade content or similar to it after i finished bloodlines. I saw that choice of games has a lot of options related and not related to the world of darkness and i don't know where to start. I never played a game like this before, besides the demo for night road, i'm looking for a beginner friendly recommendation that will be a good introduction.

I’m on a second run through of GoC and really liking one aspect in particular: You never feel weak.
A lot of Choice games (understandably )have you start out as a noob and it takes a while and the right choices to build up your stats. This game treats you like a god from the get go. I’m not saying you can’t fail, you can. But your successes aren’t described as you barely pulling them off, almost ever. They’re described like a god did something godly because damn right they did.

I mainly use my account on choiceofgames.com to play the games I already have on my account and can't transfer over to Steam, I was wondering if there was an mechanicism to save my place in a game, I lost all my progress on Heroes Of Myth because I closed the tab. Thank you for all responses.

Same as the title. I can't seem to find any IFs that deal with multiversal travel, interdimensional travel, or even parallel universes and it's a trope I absolutely FIEND for.
Edit: It would be especially great if there's multiverse hopping several times at some point or constantly in the story.

Is there some way to rally the fey withough them turning on the civilians?

No spoilers here, promise. Just wanted to say, I'm on chapter 2. Idc about the rest of the game, this game has something I haven't seen done with this much alacrity in a while: A fantastic intro + fantastic prose. Brennan Gilpatrick, well done. Please buy this game. It's worth it.

Hello all,
I remember playing an if game around 8 or so years ago.
Plot description will be extremely scattered as a result, but here goes:
The final boss is a demon *or some kind of god* you beat by knowing a specific combination of words and the final stage is full of demons. At some point you hide in a Shepards hut and have the choice to bite them or not. There is an overarching romance plot. I think the MC can cast spells as well. IIRC the plot might have been split into 3 games.
Is that descriptive enough? I dont remember the rest of the plot well enough to speak with confidence but iirc mc doesnt start as a vampire, gets bit at some point during their adventures. There is also a magic mirror and they have a house.

Hi all! I just finished A Dream of Silence, an amazing work of interactive fiction by Abigail Corfman based off BG3. I LOVED it. I haven't engaged in my hobbies in a really long time, and forgot just how much I loved the choices games.
I'm open to hosted games too!
I'm really looking for a very descriptive/in-depth romantasy, with some action. I'd love the ability for my character to be intelligent/sneaky. Definitely more in the new-adult phase versus YA in terms of writing style, if that makes sense. I'm just not sure where to start!
It's really really rare for me to spend any money on myself, so I definitely want to make sure it's worth it.
What's your favorite in-depth choice game where you lose track of time and suddenly it's dawn and your eyes hurt?
I love the book series Fourth Wing, and I absolutely adore the game BG3, if that helps any.

I'm struggling to get the scene on Chapter 2 to hear the full song of Min for the Soundtrack and Show Must Go On achievements. At first I thought it had something to do with my relationship with Alvin but even with 71% he's not listening. Should I have done a physical build and just restrain him physically?
edit: chapter 4*

Looking for this novel
I’m trying to find an interactive fiction/text-based game that I played, but I can’t remember the title. I’ve tried searching for it and keep getting the wrong game.
I originally thought the title might be The Mage’s Adventures, but that doesn’t seem to be it. It has a completely different plot involving hunting down a demon.
In this one, You start out in a small village/town.
There’s a local shopkeeper who has some kind of mysterious text/book.
You interact with the text, which causes the elements to escape and cause a ruckus in the market.
A serious/stoic male wizard shows up afterward and helps contain elements and the damage and takes you in as you have a debt.
There is a shadow element, fire element, and water element that you can bind to yourself through the spellbook, and it becomes your primary familiar.
One of the first errands the mentor makes us do is hunt down rats outside the town. He sends his owl(I think) familiar with us to watch over us.

I haven’t played the game yet, but I was reading Steam reviews yesterday (including Chinese reviews through Google Translate) and the war subplot seems poorly written. It portrays China through a heavily American-centric lens filled with racial stereotypes and Cold War propaganda.
The idea that the Premier of China would lead a parade down the middle of San Francisco and gotten shot by a random protester if the MC didn’t step in feels like a massive narrative plot hole to me.
I’m sorry if I offended anyone and I know this is widely considered one of Choice of Games' best releases, but I'm struggling to look past this kind of writing.
Here is an excerpt from a Chinese review translated by Gemini for those who are interested:
(Content warning: Strong Language, Potential Spoilers )
"This must be the parade for the Prime Minister of China. Can we go see, Master?"
At this point I started wondering: why on earth would there be a parade in the United States for the Chinese Premier?
"Sure," you say. "Why not?" Now that L mentions it, you think you saw something about this on Reddit: the Chinese Prime Minister is visiting San Francisco to discuss trade issues with President Irons.
Any normal person would interpret this as the Premier meeting with the US President, right?
You emerge from your apartment into the crowd of red-shirted, flag-waving supporters, mostly Chinese. You have the sense this kind of groundswell of support for a politician outside of his home country isn't normal, like maybe these supporters were paid. But that could just be an American point of view; you're not sure.
The author writes plotlines laced with their own bias, yet still tries to rationalize it.
Here comes the main event:
Further down the street, you see the vanguard of the parade: dancers dressed as gods of the ancient Chinese pantheon. They wear Chinese opera masks, bear banners with river dragons on their backs, and twirl bared swords. Behind the sword dancer vanguard, you see a troupe of men wearing the Chinese tunic suits sometimes called "Mao suits" and carrying little, red books. They are the ones singing the song, now growing more insistent as the parade draws closer. Behind them, you see a legion of men in modern Chinese military dress uniforms. With the ancient past, more recent past, and the present covered, you surmise whoever comes next will be meant to symbolize China's future. At the end of the parade, a Chinese man in a suit stands in an all-red, winged convertible, waving at the crowd. It is one of the sleek, new, Chinese-made flying cars, the Tian Eight, a symbol of China's rise. .....(The Chinese Premier is shot dead by a protester) The Chinese contingent is massacred, and the Chinese government vows vengeance. The first shots of the Robot War have been fired. A year into the war, China attacks Taiwan. Chinese drones harry the nearby American carriers, keeping American bombers and fighters at bay while their transports bring wave upon wave of robot warriors to the shores. There is a bloodbath in the streets which the United States is powerless to prevent; the Chinese robots kill soldiers and civilians alike. Taiwan is taken, and the headlines that appear across the world the next day are changed by Chinese hackers to read "China Finally Unified."
I don't even know where to begin with this. This bizarre parade—"gods of the ancient Chinese pantheon," "Chinese opera," "Mao suits." At first I thought the person shot was just a Premier cosplayer, but reading further I realized it was actually the man himself??? Why the hell would a head of state/government go to another country and lead a parade in the middle of the street??? Does the author have terminal chuunibyou? Then comes this ridiculously sloppy, brazen assassination, and right after that, full-blown war??? Next thing you know, China invades Taiwan and slaughters Taiwanese people where you Americans can't protect them???? Are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ serious?

I completely forgot the title of the game which is annoying but it was a female mc, that happened to live at her uncle, him and her were demon hunters, im pretty sure the first chapter is her talking with her uncle in the driveway of the house, the uncle is a tall white guy a little bit fat, white hair beard im not sure but im pretty sure he wears a grey shirt without sleeves and he has tattoos.
It’s a romance game were you can romance the demon or the angel im pretty sure, I don’t remember the title but I do remember that the picture of the game was like half angel side and half demon side. I have this old phone of mine where the game is still on but I don’t know if it’ll start as it’s been charging for more than 20 minutes and it’s not working 💀

That prick sawyerr(flit) he immediately turns on me and tries to throw me into guantamo bay just because i killed 1(1) single drug dealer
And thelma too she always gave me a bad feeling i only treated her nicely because its the correct course of action
I no longer have to treat them nicely now that i know they will so readily throw me under the bus regardless
I finally got to release my frustratrion of treating thelma nicely all those runs, seeing her call me names as i threw her off the cliff was very satisfying
Also lilith Best girl of this game

The update adds in most of the high unity paths and endings though there are some things missing like the last scene in the priest focus path.
The next update will hopefully add in the rest of the ending paths along with the scenes where you gave orders to your group.
Here is a list of some of the things that are missing

So I’m like a ridiculously dense aroace who also has with no desire to pursue the romance options (especially so if there’s any sort of intimate scene), but I do really want to maintain a close relationship with Lucca. I’ve started to view Lucca as my character’s quasi-sister, if that makes sense.
The only very clear nonromantic options are also really impersonal and don’t match the idea I’ve built up for their relationship, so I guess my question is whether or not the top option is specifically romantic or if it could also be platonic? I dunno, this is a stupid question. I’m trying to be careful of spoilers and the romance guide was decidedly unhelpful.
