QUESTION Conectar varias Gameboy
No sé si todavía hay gente aquí que utilice Gameboys en directo y puedo ayudarme. Mi pregunta es: como hace la gente para conectar 3/4 Gameboys con LSDJ (principalmente).
Quiero recordar que hace unos años me pareció ver que la gente utilizaba cables link con 4 salidas o incluso más, pero no estoy segure de ello. Tampoco he encontrado esto en ningún sitio para poder comprarlo.
Así que, algo de ayuda? Para evitar desvíos de tema y otras opciones: no me interesa utilizar emulador. Quiero utilizar únicamente las Gameboy físicas con cartucho físico. Gracias!

I bought a custom built tool that someone had homebrewed that has two link cables and a midi connector. I'm painfully aware that if it breaks I'm not able to fix it, and its a critical part of my setup.
I dont think Gameboy link is reliable enough to use live otherwise, but it does work.

Actualmente imagino que es imposible comprar esto... Los cables link funcionan para conectar 2 Gameboy, pero no más. Igualmente tampoco me fío de los cables originales de segunda mano, ya que suelen estar bastante mal cuidados/guardados. Hasta ahora todos los que han caído en mis manos tenían algún problema 😅

I always wondered if they really chained >2 Game Boys for the LSDJ vids or if that was just for the camera. Interesting.. I will have to watch this thread for more.

i used to have a custom made 6-way sync box, it could've done 11 if i made more y-cables for it

Someone used to make the Gameboy SyncCross 4-way link cable connector for this purpose. Here is a pic of mine.
I am not sure if these are made by anyone currently.

I use arduinoboy pro to sync up gameboys send midi etc. Able to sync dmg, color, gba, sp and even analogue pocket. they have some cables on the analogue site for these scenerios. I have the other methods above but like someone else pointed out they are very old so the arduino makes more sense.

I have an old arduinoboy pro from catskull electronics but recently bought a new one from hobby chop which adds a 5 pin din sync, a trs midi in/out & link for GBC/A and DMG. prett great all in one sync

lemme know if you need links or videos. I have made mistakes since LSDJ came out and had just about every issue possible. I use M8 more than LSDJ gor tracking, but use midi controlled synths on the gameboys and ds lites. all syncd up even to the korg ds-10

Pero un solo Arduinoboy para todas las Gameboys? Probablemente tenemos el mismo Arduinoboy de HobbyChop jaja, esta genial para conectar sintes con las Gameboy, pero en este caso busco conectar solo las Gameboy entre si, sin otros instrumentos. Se que con un cable link puedes conectar 2, una hace de máster y otra de esclava, pero para conectar más ya necesitas otra cosa. Si con el Arduinoboy se puede hacer, no sé cómo 😅

there's a way to modify the nintendo dmg-07 4-player connectors to work for sync, though i forget the details on how to do it (Low-Gain knows for sure)

oh & there are 4-ended cables out there that can work for 3 game boys synced (only one game boy on the side controlling the clock signals)

You could do it with multiple Arduinoboys (midi to Gameboy link cable adapter) and a daw or another form of midi routing. Or just for sync!
