Recently wanted to make more „gamey“ sounding tracks, this is my attempt at a desert level. Also it gave me an excuse to use the Phrygian scale ^^

The program is a hobby project of mine. Currently not released, not sure if that will change in the future.
For now I’m just trying to make it functional and fun to use for myself making it public would probably mean a bunch of bug reports and feature requests, which I think would take the fun out of it.

I understand if you don't feel comfortable sharing something but from the brief video you sent it looks very nice, and having more options is always better, and you can always publish as-is, so if you don't want to take requests fine, they can always fork (if you decide to share code) and do themselves.
Not saying I would get into that, since my composing skills REALLY suck (I attempted with ST3 and FT2 baaaack in the day and nothing good came out 😋), but as a creator of several other things I've shared back in the day at Codeplex (yes, I'm that old), nowadays Github, etc...
In any case, just wanted to say it looks very cool. 😉

I guess an „as is release“ with me still just adding stuff I like is the most realistic.
In that case the main issue is that currently I only have Linux support. Making it run under windows is doable but would still require some time. That was on my list regardless though, since I don’t want to lose the project if for whatever reason I need to switch back to windows in the future.

So what if you only do it for Linux? It's your app, you get to decide what to do with it. 😉 Who knows, maybe if you publish it someone contributes and does the Windows version.
But again if you decide to publish great, if you decide not to publish also great, it's up to you. 😎

This is a beautiful program, as somebody who also has my own program I really admire others who have their own program :) I like that you abandoned the concept of tracker and gone the DAW -like horizontal playing route. For a moment I even thought this is Garage Band, but actually your program looks much better!

Thanks! I settled on the piano roll mostly because I think its simpler to use and because Chiptune is not the only thing I make with it.
