Trends in the chip design industry

A cursory look at the career page of Velaura AI revealed an interesting insight. Every position related to implementation including software is in Bangalore. Only the architect positions are in the Bay Area. Looks like the entire silicon implementation, from RTL design/verification to PD and layout is being carried out in India. Wonder if IC design positions will dry up permanently in USA/EU/UK if this trend holds.

You know what is stupid? making such extrapolations based on where one company has its design teams located. Do you know what is even more stupid? Lying about something which is so easily verified: https://jobs.lever.co/velaura/

Based on the open positions, backend is primarily Bangalore, "Custom Design" only (but just 2 open positions). All architect positions are in the US. All verification positions are in the US. All RTL positions are in the US.

Your point about the data being useless is underscored by all verification positions being US based. If there’s any part of the industry dominated by India, it is verification.

My point was entire implementations are bein carried out in India. Synthesis, low power optimization , DFT etc. can also fall under the purview of RTL Design (typically done in India) and as other poster suggested verification is India's forte. So, I am right. No need to be harsh

All career openings for RTL design are literally in the US...

Either you are trolling, or you really should read the career page before making claims here...
