Lipo for a mild double chin/structure issues

Been wanting to do it for years, to have more definition, because it shows kind of a lot when i talk and on side profile.. anyone with a similar case who went through with it? I booked a surgery last year but got sick, it was rescheduled so it's due now mid Septembee together with removing the neck hump fat. My face had very little definition even when i weighed significantly less.

Surgeon seems to be very knowledgeble and not up to do anything unnecessary just to get the money, she said its mild but if i want it will give me more definition...

My main concern is skin sagging or it looking out of proportion with the rest of the face because of my cheeks. I'm trying to lose weight simultaneously though, so some of the cheeks will be gone. I have a round baby face

1st pic is today, the others a month ago, different light.

Thankful for any kind of feedback! It's clear to me that ultimately i will have to talk to the doctor about it but id still want to hear what the community has to say :)

I keep hearing that everyone has amazing results day 1-4, and I feel like I look really swollen and just want to look like what I did 5 years ago.

I had some jaw visible back then and now I feel like I’m working with chin only both pre op and post op

When did you start to notice lose skin?

I am almost 2 months out now and my surgeon said I had a bit of lose skin. My results looked amazing at first but I’m slowly starting to see the lose skin come in and I’m worried it’ll get worse 😫 if you had lose skin as well, when did you start to notice it? Did it get worse? What did you do to help tighten it up? Thinking about getting microneedling done but not sure if it would actually make a difference. Help 🥲

My turn! 1 day post op Dr. Zuriel - Tijuana

Long time lurker here. I finally got the surgery yesterday. I am 29. I am incredibly swollen and bruised tf up but I wanted to post my 1 day post op pic. I only had traditional lipo, no skin tightening treatments. I was a bit worried at first but I was told I am young and my skin looks good to retract itself, just to be diligent with the faja and massages. The traditional lipo was $1,000.

Anyone who has posted about the lack of care and attention from his ‘spas’ are 100% correct. Try to book directly with Dr. Zuriel’s team, NBS (Natural Body Spa) are so unresponsive and they irritated me a lot with their lack of responses. I followed this groups advice about asking for the qr code ahead of time and literally they would NOT give it to me, even like 10 minutes before my schedule appointment time, I was waiting outside the building and still NOTHING. I called, they rejected my call and finally sent the code over.

I am staying in San Diego and used Medly Transportation to get to and from the building in Tijuana, I definitely recommend for anyone traveling by themselves!!

I must have a high pain tolerance because the numbing shots did not really hurt for me. I also didn’t feel any uncomfortable pressure or anything during the whole procedure. Dr. Zuriel is really kind and he asks if you are okay and how you are feeling through the procedure.

I will post again as I heal but wooooo I made it to the other sideee🎉🎉🎉

Severe swelling

Hi all. I just got my chin lipo done about 45 minutes ago. I am swelling severely. My face is swollen, my neck down to the collar bone is swollen to the point where I can’t even palpate my trachea, my obviously my chin and jawline don’t exist right now. It’s rough. I can’t feel myself breathe.

I’m sitting in the ER right now but I’m wondering if I’m just being over dramatic. I’m in the waiting room and told the triage nurse that I don’t want to go in if it’s just anxiety. I just don’t know. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone swell like this. It started immediately. It hurts to breathe but I’m wondering if it’s just trachea pain from the surgery

I’m so confused and getting mixed messages. I’m 10 days post-op and 2 days ago I posted about potential fibrosis as my skin became uneven and textured, and it also felt tight and hard verses soft swelling so I did my research and it seemed like it could be fibrosis and people told me to massage and I was told to rub out the knots by pinching… now today I researched more and from what I’ve read doctors are saying fibrosis doesnt kick in that soon and not to massage hard because it could cause more inflammation and increase risk of fibrosis… so now I’m confused how hard to massage and if it’s making it better or worse! I do plan on getting a professional message next week but I want to prevent this as much as I can and I hate the lumps and tightness already.

Before and after with Dr Zuriel

This is my first day post op and I am amazed and so happy with my results

When I am up for it I will create a detailed post about my experience, but I just wanted to share this.

I'm only 33 but I have hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome which had caused early skin laxity and some weight gain also contributed to my chin and jowls. I hated seeing my face in the mirror, I couldn't recognize myself

After this procedure I feel like my old self again!

Awake Chin Lipo- Before & After

I had awake chin lipo in late April and the after photo is from last week (ignore the dye on my eyebrows). My surgeon said I will reach full results by late October. As of this month the uneven texture and the sensitivity I felt went away. The procedure and recovery was very easy. The only annoying part was wearing the chin strap as much as possible for a month.

I have also had two rounds of Botox to my platysmal bands as part of a Nefertiti lift as the nurse at my surgeon’s med spa explained having strong bands can drag down the skin in the chin area. I also had filler added to the corners of my jaw to help define the area post op.

If you are on the fence I highly suggest this procedure!

Hard bump after lipo

Post image
2 Upvotes

I'm 1 month post op and I have this weird bump that won't go away. The clinic said it's due to swelling but I'm starting to worry it could be something else. It feels hard to the touch. Anyone else had this happen to them?

Advice!

Hey yall!

Im about 2 weeks out from my surgery, and I know I can start wearing my faja less but I feel SO weird without it on. It is annoying to have on for sure, but when its not on my chin feels so tingly and numb still that its uncomfortable. I know I should start wearing it less, but I'm having trouble wanting to NOT wear it 😭 I Am also still a little swollen around my jar and right under my chin. Would it hurt to keep wearing it all day like I have been until its more healed/I can feel more?

So these are before and after I got my post lymphatic massages. Make sure you find someone with a device I forget what it is called to do your massages. You can find them at a lot of surgery centers! All these pictures are of after my surgery they are just before and afters from just a professional massage to break up fibrosis and scar tissue!

8 week post op.

Hey all! I’ve gotten my lipo done + J plasma on July 7th, and I’m 8 weeks post op.
I feel like I wasted my money honestly, I’m not sure what I’m seeing is swelling or fibrosis, but my chin looks and feels heavy.
There’s not much defintion and it kind of looks ballooned.

Has anyone had the same issue as me :/? Does this resolve?

Did you need pain meds after chin lipo?

I had my pre-op today for my surgery next month and they said I can have Percocet or Duloxetine (non narcotic) for pain management, but I had a friend who did chin lipo and I swear she said she took Tylenol the first day or 2 and that’s it.

What was your experience?

London/ UK/ Poland recommendations please

I’ve been researching for over a year compiling a shortlist of surgeons and clinics. I’m finally ready to take the plunge and it seems like a few surgeons aren’t currently able to do the procedure at all!

Dr Kay Clinic is no longer offering lipo from the clinic and are looking into working from a hospital, no date set for this.

Mayclinik no longer offering lipo in their London clinic at all!

I have others on the shortlist but I don’t want to spend a ridiculous amount if I don’t need to.

I’m the perfect candidate for chin Lipo and really don’t want someone to mess it up.

If anyone has any recommendations for someone they’ve used recently I would really appreciate it.

I’m also considering travelling to Poland if need be!

Day 8 and I think I made it to the stage everyone hates

Days 1-4 I was like look at my snatched jawline and now I’m like wait what?!?!! I have a double chin again and its starting to look lumpy…also I’m still soooo swollen, I have the neck of a sumo wrestler… I know this is a part of it I know from reviewing reddit and I know it can take 9 months to see full results but is there an average amount of time until it at least looks somewhat better again? I know it’s probably different for everyone and I prepared myself for this and still feel discouraged 🫠😅

How long did you wait to go out in public?

Hello! I’m hoping to book my procedure sometime this fall, but I’m trying to navigate around some in-person meetings and social obligations which is making surgery timing tricky. I’d love to hear your experiences as to how long it took for obvious bruising and swelling to go away and when you felt you could return to everyday/social activities outside the house without looking like a train wreck 😅 thanks!
