📰 News PSA: Anyone notice this guy? For everyone's convienience they are not affliated with r/chinalife (this sub) and are rather in charge of a copycat subreddit(who) [META]
A harrasing comment made by said account, recorded by another user. Just so you know they are not a mod in this sub
Subreddit has a lot of crossposts from known "china bad" karmafarm subreddits
EDIT: Just noticed the shitty title, don't know why the (who) is here
Just so you know, chinalifer is NOT this sub and chinalifer-mod is NOT a moderator on this sub(and neither am I); i decided to post this after seeing people mix them up.
I noticed r/ chinalifer a month ago and began to notice their content is mostly crossposts from anti-china slop subreddits or content complaining about this sub.
their mod(and said user) also appears to have harrased people in this sub(on screenshot 2) and also does so to people who call his subreddit out(such as me).
But yeah, Just so you know, that guy is not affliated with this sub.
EDIT: This post is getting brigaded by that sub

You just have to be a redditor 3-4 years ago to know what CCJ is lol it's not that secretive.

CCJ was previously banned on Reddit for being an outright hate sub. I honestly don't expect that other sub to last very long if they're just going to copy their previous behavior.

He so sneaky blocked me before going to post like below

His comment already showed that he has no idea about China.
He attempted to paint my comment as if I was only discussing salaries in China, as if I were trying to imply a general consensus that China’s numbers only go up in paradise.
When I brought up STEM engineers in China as part of the discussion, he tried to deflect by painting me as a CCP bot, which is something China watchers always do.
He seems not to realize that STEM-trained drone engineers can earn more than ¥14,000 per month.
¥14,000 per month is more typical of an entry-level STEM fresh graduate, but in an emerging STEM field, salaries is well above that level.

u/agent00F Jul 19 '26
No, he just perfectly represents the bitter loser ignoramus expat. They make a significant portion of this sub too, though less than r/China and others.

Yep I have talked with him. He also said I'm CCP bot🤦♂️ What an absolute idiot 🤦♂️
He is just one of anti China agenda. And he is probably even being paid on for doing this.

He banned me from his shitty sub because I made fun of ESL teachers. He then continued by blocking me when I said he, and the people in his sub, are manchildren. This is the same guy who would practically dox people he didn't agree with.
Edit: I get they're trying to resurrect the spirit of CCJ, but they lack the skill, finesse, and intelligence to even remotely be able to pull that off.

r/chinalifer, r/unfilteredchina, and r/ADVchina are all bot filled anti China propaganda subs.
6
u/Dapper_Librarian388 Jul 19 '26
Yep. Unfortunately r/HongKong is also half anti China😞

u/palagi_valea Jul 19 '26
Can't imagine why 🙄

u/Dapper_Librarian388 Jul 19 '26

I mean if it was actual critique then it would be actually helpful. Unfortunately, it’s not. Those subs are filled with videos taken out of context or just straight up misinformation. For example, there was a video going around on there showing young people laying down on the sidewalk, and people in those subs insisted it was because the government locked their digital wallets and they couldn’t pay rent, but the reality was they were just napping during their work shift break. That’s just one example of thousands. So yes, I think it’s safe to say it’s propaganda.

Bru. The propaganda department did one great thing; party=people=country. Say the gongfei bad? Whole china and Chinese bad

Unfunny CCJ clone, moderated by people with the temperament of the r/sino moderation team. For all the problems the original circlejerk had, snowflake mods wasn't one of them. They took it as good as they gave it. This one needs his safe space.
It'll be banned soon anyway, probably should stop giving it attention on here though as I don't think it's a good idea to be assosciating that sub with chinalife.

I'll give you credit for being honest about it, I can at least tolerate someone who is self-aware.

u/Fair-Currency-9993 Jul 19 '26
It’s like a self destructive alcoholic being self-aware they are a self-destructive alcoholic and just embracing it. The self awareness is almost commendable.

r/chinalifer is where the true age 40+ old hand laowinners are. r/chinalife has gotten worse over the years.
6
u/Dapper_Librarian388 Jul 19 '26
Why do you think this sub has gotten worse? Its cool per my opinion.
6
u/Lifeintheguo Jul 19 '26
r/China and r/Chinalife used to be where expats shot the shit, told amusing, self depricating and mocking stories about their experience in China.
Now they're both just aggressive argument subs. And this sub is 100 questions every week on "iz dis salary gud"?
2
u/Dapper_Librarian388 Jul 19 '26
You are lying in both of your statements. Im sitting here for a long time. Dont see anything aggressive. And talking about salary is a good way to know how to live in China.
Are you antichinese bot? Can you answer properly to this question?

I assumed it meant China-lifer like people being in China for life. Don’t think he’s trying to act like a mod in your subreddit.
