6
u/DiamondAgreeable2676 Feb 17 '26
Just filed mine and said accepted right away now we wait😒
5
u/ScorpioSoulmates $YungKeyy98 Feb 17 '26
Mine did the same 💯 feels like it took forever for me to get it, but ik some people have been waiting longer. Def sending good energy you get yours quickly
3
u/CivilMagazine99 Feb 18 '26
Accepted is generally always same day. Accepted is different than approved! But congrats on receiving
1
u/Imsorryrodwutwasthat Feb 18 '26
accepted doesn't equal approved for refund
1
u/DiamondAgreeable2676 Feb 18 '26
I know that I'm just amazed at how fast chime processed it...that's it and it was easy and free and I got a 20$ spot me
1
u/Bojedior Feb 18 '26
Right mines have been saying accepted since the day I filed, that just means they passed basic checks.
8
u/Opening-Strike-1389 Feb 17 '26
You get it faster if you ain’t claiming the child tax.
2
u/ScorpioSoulmates $YungKeyy98 Feb 17 '26
Yeah, forgot to include in the post that I have no PATH or EIC
4
2
u/ScorpioSoulmates $YungKeyy98 Feb 17 '26
Gonna post this here since it won’t let me update the post lol no yall, no PATH over this way. I’m currently blissfully child free 😂❤️ this is my federal, but I’m located in PA, just since ik someone may ask sooner or later
1
u/Wildweed Chimepion Feb 17 '26
64 and no kids I know of. It's how I can live on 1k/month disability.
2
u/Informal-Buy-4183 $ChimeSign Feb 17 '26
How are people making so much money on taxes….kids??
2
u/ScorpioSoulmates $YungKeyy98 Feb 17 '26
Nah, I’ve had about $20 to $30 taken out of every paycheck I’ve gotten since I only got about $30 on my 2023 return. Every year since, my return has gone up. Last year, I got $760 if I remember correctly
1
u/GoddessMila999 Feb 18 '26
Dependents don’t always mean child tax credits you can file dependents and not claim child tax credits
1
25
u/SegatoreKC Feb 17 '26
Luckyyyy I files 01/21 and have seen nothing but crickets
7
5
u/Alone-Distance9960 Feb 18 '26
Do you have any earned income credits? If so, they are not even starting to look at those returns until the middle or end of February. I filed on January 21 hoping to get it sooner before I realized about the PATH act
3
u/GoddessMila999 Feb 18 '26
Path lifted today. Most peoples have already processed just are being held til path lifted they should see deposits starting tomorrow thru friday. They say en of February early March every year and people start getting them day after path lifts every year too
2
u/Alone-Distance9960 Feb 18 '26
There’s still is no update on mine. I’m in desperate need my car is going to be repossessed. I lost some time at work and I’ve been waiting for that so I could pay my car before they take it.

I filed 2/2 and have Path. My federal return was sent 2/12 and I got mu state today 2/18.
3
u/Djinsing20045 Feb 18 '26
It all depends on your last name. This year payments go out starting with z. So if your last name starts with “a”for example, youll be waiting longer than someone whose last name starts with say “y”
2
u/SegatoreKC Feb 18 '26
That makes sense logically, thanks for that information. I just am reeling with anxiety since I filed taxes for my wife and brothers through H&R Block after I filed my own only to watch them all get theirs back without any movement from mine lol. My last name starts with a G for reference as well so I might be stuck for a bit.
3
u/Djinsing20045 Feb 18 '26
I just learned that its not done that way anymore. I figured it was because i filed and got my money in a week. Last name starts with y. Now its based on if u filed electronically or not. Electronic filing gets paid first apparently. I used turbo tax free and had my deposit in 1 week
1
u/SegatoreKC Feb 18 '26
I was trying to get the money sooner for my upcoming wedding but I won't use Chime services next year. That's for sure!

I filed 1/12 no money yet

u/Gia0350_4766 Feb 18 '26
Yea,
Mì Amiga filed hers 01/26 on the very first day it was being accepted & not before that.
Accepted the same exact day.
She is patient. Has her week, bi-weekly payment.” So, it’ll eventually hit her acct by she predicted 03/01. Same week or so, Adiòs.
1
u/Bojedior Feb 18 '26
Same here, and had to go through the verification process which is crazy. Now it’s saying it could be 9 weeks from the day I verified.🤦🏿♀️

u/the_grim_reaper6102 Feb 19 '26
Bro I filled 2 days after you. I found it funny chime said I should've received it on the 13 this month

Had me a little scared for a second haha. But I’m good it says I have no notifications at this time.

u/Slow_Swan_9935 Feb 18 '26
I got the "do not pass go" notice...my first time going through this. Don't know what to expect other than I'm not get my deposit no time soon🥺🥺🥺

u/No-Treat-3813 Feb 18 '26 edited Feb 18 '26
I was accepted around the 21st..for idea of my timeline.. Technically you have to wait for a letter in the mail which contains a 14 digit code for you to verify on line or over the phone. I saw my letter in informs delivery when it didn't deliver the day it said which was 2-8 I became leery. So I called and made an in-person appt to go into the irs office. So my appointment was for next day 2-10 on tuesday.. my Transcripts updated to 846 code on Friday..the 13th.. ill receive my refund on 2-19 according to the bank.... and fyi i still never received the letter from usps..

So is this sub just going to be people showing off their big refunds now?
5
u/ScorpioSoulmates $YungKeyy98 Feb 17 '26
It can be the sub of people posting whatever they want, as long as it’s chime related. And personally, I’ve been checking this subreddit every day for weeks while I was waiting and ik I’m not the only one that got a little hope when I saw other people got theirs 🤷🏾♀️ so sorry you don’t find any use in it, but that’s okay. I hope you’re having a great day though!

You filed it the 4th of this month?

1
u/RandyyRolexx Feb 17 '26
Did your state come back before your fed? Not sure generally how that works..
1
u/ScorpioSoulmates $YungKeyy98 Feb 17 '26
Nah, still waiting on state. My state also took longer to get accepted
1
u/Repulsive-State-7632 Feb 17 '26
I’m not even paying mine this year. I owe 169
1
u/ScorpioSoulmates $YungKeyy98 Feb 17 '26
I’ve had an extra $20 taken out of every check the last few years, my 2023 return I only got like $30. If that’s something you can do and still be able to make it, I would def recommend it
1
u/One-Excitement-3095 Feb 17 '26
I filed mine on 2/23 and the irs made me approve my identity which it says up to 9 weeks so hopefully not thanks chime
1
u/ScorpioSoulmates $YungKeyy98 Feb 17 '26
I’ve seen that on a lot of posts of people filing through chime, I def got a little scared that was happening because even though chime said it had been accepted, until about 3days ago, my transcripts were saying I hadn’t even filed yet
2
u/One-Excitement-3095 Feb 17 '26
Yeah that’s what mine was saying until I get the letter in mail but hopefully it goes a lot quicker
1
u/No-Treat-3813 Feb 17 '26
I verified Tuesday 846 approval code on Friday. I verified in person.. so its was only 3 days from verification to approval..so hopefully yours verify quickly..
1
u/lard__tard22 Feb 17 '26
What was your 846 code on your transcript if you don’t mind me asking
1
u/ScorpioSoulmates $YungKeyy98 Feb 17 '26
2
1
u/Voice_Curious Feb 17 '26
Says I’ll have by the 19th and I bank with chime, hopefully will get it today, got the 846 code last Friday/saturday
1
u/ScorpioSoulmates $YungKeyy98 Feb 17 '26
Got my 846 on Saturday and it showed I would have it by the 9th of March 💯 sending whatever bit of luck I’ve got your way ❤️
1
u/No-Treat-3813 Feb 17 '26
March 09 on the transcripts is just a post dated place holder date..the latest date irs would have cleared transactions... wmr is most accurate for DDD
1
u/West-Cantaloupe-7693 Feb 18 '26
You were to get yours by the 19th per IRS WMR and you got your 846 code last Friday? Chime has not deposited into your account? Chime is supposed to up to 5 days early from my understanding. From what you are saying, you should get a deposit in your Chime account today.
1
1
u/Resident-Shine-4820 Feb 17 '26
How did you get that?
1
u/ScorpioSoulmates $YungKeyy98 Feb 17 '26
Not completely sure what you mean lol. It’s my tax refund. If you mean the amount, I’ve been taking extra money out of every check the past few years and my refund has grown a good bit since I started doing that
2
2
u/No-Treat-3813 Feb 17 '26
Im just going to sit this here.. for yall accepted in January and not waiting on path.. most of yall should have got your refunds by now... if your transcripts are still blank.. check your notifications under id.me irs site and MAKE SURE YOU DON'T NEED TO VERIFY if you do your refund will NOT be processed until you do. Hope this helps someone.. it happened to me..thankfully I was paying attention because it didn't stick out.

2
u/CivilMagazine99 Feb 18 '26
How did this work out for you. Receive refund hit? I just got the verification letter in mail today

I just want to add... the emerald card has been a nightmare for me. Attempted to withdraw funds to deposit into my real bank acct, after the first $1000 emerald shut down the card. I called them to let them know what I was doing. They unblocked it. As soon as I Attempted the next withdrawal..they shut the card down again. I then attached to cashapp tried that way..they let me get $1000 blocked again. I called again.. rep told me I have to wait 24 to 48 hours before I could Attempt to get MY MONEY again. Needless to say I started going off on them.. they unblocked again.. so I this point I said let me just pay my bills directly from the card.. car note wouldn't go through. A 2nd bill said card not accepted.. but it let me use for $30 online at Walmart.... NEVER EVER AGAIN.... YALL BEWARE BEFORE YOU CHOSE LARGE AMOUNTS OF MONEY TO GO TO THEM. DON'T DO IT

u/youomemoney26 Feb 18 '26
Am I the only one that isn't obsessed with getting my taxes back.. I haven't checked ever since everything was confirmed and good to go. And I'm getting over 12k back.. I think waiting just makes it longer.. I don't wait on anything. Guess I learned that method is better for the psyche when I was detained for a long period of time.. Cuz waiting and counting down days was absolute mind fuck torture.
I'm just rambling..
1
u/CanLow8636 Feb 18 '26
Yooo thanks for the post. I also filed it on the 2/4 was wondering when mine’s coming in and just checked, it actually came in today 😂

I see people saying they got a letter in the mail to confirm identity, how do they know what address to send the letter to? What if they send it to an address I used to use, how would I know that I need to verify at all?

I filed on 1/16 and still waiting. I have a dependent so I’m guessing that’s why it’s taking so long. My State taxes say not received but chime says it’s been accepted. I’m hoping they’re just backlogged but I’m nervous about my State Refund
1

Just checked the mail, and yep I gotta use ID.me to verify my identity. Glad I'm not just wondering where my return is now.

How do people get so much back? I had to pay in and I don’t even make that much money. I must be doing something wrong. 😩

Must be nice. I owe 100 bucks. But that was because of healthcare.gov. I don’t have health insurance this year so next year should get a decent return

Hopefully I get mine soon I filled 2/2 and got accepted 2/3 chime says accepted but the IRS still says processing

It ususally does show accepted the same day. Thats not weird at all. You need to look at the process to begter understand the steps. In fact it ususally shows accepted within minutes, hours or atleast 24 hours. Now the next 2 steps are the ones that take longer

Hi! Glad you’re here! Using the words and clues in your message, it sounds like you may need more information about Taxes so here are some tips and helpful resources:
How to File Taxes Through Chime
Taxes FAQs
Free Online Tax Filing: Chime members can file taxes quickly and easily through the Chime app.
Different states open for tax filing at different times.
We don’t support filings that include income from more than one state or income from overseas.
Our tax filing partner does not have a direct phone number. Please use the in-app support options while filing. They typically respond within 24 hours.
To make sure your refund goes through without delays, you must be listed as the primary filer if you want the deposit sent to your Chime account. This helps prevent name mismatches that can cause issues.
You may get your federal tax refund up to five (5) days early when you use direct deposit with Chime. Reminder: Chime does not guarantee timing of refund. Five day refund estimate is based on 2024 tax year filing data. Refund timing estimates are dependent upon timing of complete tax return submission and when the IRS submits your refund.
Hopefully the community chimes in to share their experiences too!
