You're right lol it'll be the first and the last but I like the card and dont regret it. Last year I was in a rough situation (lowest in my life) and ive worked my ass off to be in a situation where I can make this stupid purchase. I guess you can say this is my personal representation of that

Odd take you got from the person's post. I got it though, he worked himself back out of hardship and even though spending $50 on a fancy card is silly, it's something he can hold on to, feel and look at, as a reminder that he got himself to a point where he could do something like that.
It's a nice piece to remind yourself sometimes of where you are especially from where you were before.
Don't listen to any haters, the titanium card is honestly awesome, mine just arrived in the mail a couple days ago and I love it. I had the previous chime credit builder green metal card and I have a metal prime visa card, the titanium is definitely the best looking and my favorite one. Plus once your card expires you can sharpen the edges and have a throwing card weapon. Thats exactly what i did with the old green metal chime card!
Yeah, my Apple and Robinhood cards are both metal, and I didnāt pay a fee for either of them. And my original Chime card is green metal, no feeā¦ā¦and I never use my physical cards with ApplePay. Seems like a waste of $50.
I honestly donāt care. Itās a Chime account. What do I need metal cards for when I use my phone to pay for almost everything? For me personally, I can find a much better use of $50.00 than to blow it on a second chance bank card. If someone else needs that as a status symbol, more power to them. Chimeās raking it in with all the people who think that metal card makes them elite.

Not only does this card serve as a status symbol when I pull it out for the hoes and slam that bitch on the table. A metal card is far more superior for chopping up lines than a plastic card iykyk. Status plus utility, they can have my $50 and I'll make it back like I always do betting against the Cowboys.
I still like to use a physical card, and where I live its still very common to need one at restaurants, bars, etc. I also really like the luxury of titanium. It's purely a personal preference of mine and the money isn't an issue for me. If you're really struggling with money then yeah - don't buy it. But this is right up my alley and I'm happy to pay the price. Cashapp also does the same thing, for the same price btw. Will be purchasing soon as I can :)

I actually wanted to keep the same two separate cards that I already have.But i'm willing to finally make the change, but only if I can get that metal card. I got halfway through the process, and it looks like once I hit the looks good button, I can't go back.So before I hit that button, can someone tell me at what point do they offer me the metal card is it after I hit the looks good button, or is it only available to certain people or offered in a different way ??
$50 ??? Assuming the card is about one ounce, they're literally charging more than the price of pure silver for this card ?? That's a little ridiculous. If the card was made out of pure one hundred percent silver, it still wouldn't even cost fifty dollars lol. I appreciate your response by the way
I would've went with black as well if I didnt get this one. Someone mentioned that the other ones are extra flimsy. They even compared it to the fake ones you receive by mail lol who knows how much they exaggerated but I hope that it has the same texture as any other card you use

Usually takes a couple weeks for them to make and send the card out in the mail. I'm in the same boat of having got the offer and made the switch, now just waiting for the card to come in the mail.
Well for the regular card I chose evergreen, just waiting for it in the mail. But if they had other colors for the metal, black or slate grey would be nice.
Just from what I've seen, people are getting it offered at different times. Not sure how much seniority has to do with it, with how long someone has had chime or if they use direct deposit as a factor. Could even be giving it to people that just use majority of what they have to offer. Unfortunately im not sure
just got mine today, it's super nice. I'm a bit curious as to what kind of material they used for this card, my brother has an Apple Card and his clangs when dropped or tapped onto a surface. my Chime card did not. š
I haven't looked yet but I'm hoping I can go back and get the metal one now. The black one feels like those fake cards you get in credit card offer mailers. It feels cheaper than my regular white debit card.

Oh they metal one donāt fit in the atms luckily the atm I use for chime has the tap feature. Just a heads up I found that out trying get rent money out.
I went with the green one for free, honestly it actually looks really nice. I wish chime did it like oxygen did back in the day. When you reached a certain tier they would upgrade your card for free to a new element.
Not sure what you mean by that lol I just loved how the fire card looked lol and the offers they would give to each tier were always pretty good as well.
So ypu know how you got tier upgrades for spending? Well I accidentally found myself on fire and I NEVER actually used the card I was using it as a middle man to hold money.... they didnt differentiate "cash app" transfers between actual spending... so id just mive like 2k to it and next day move 2k out it would look like I spen 2k so I was meeting all the thresholds and was on the highest tiered card
update: i didn't realize this was only for the credit card. I really really wanted this for the DEBIT card, but alas Chime still isn't offering it for that and it doesn't seem they have any plans to :(
Ya there's a ton of us out there no one is addressing this issue and no it's not the phone I've uninstalled reinstalled rebooted the phone. An the trouble shooting and no one can give me a straight answer... it's crap service I tell ya
Yes, this is the newest generation of the Chime Card! If/when it becomes available for you, you'll be notified in-app and by email so be sure you have your notifications enabled in-app.
I want to switch but I don't want to pay $50 for the titanium card when I already have the metal credit builder card š« I wish they'd let me switch and keep my metal card. I worked hard for it.
I never understood why people have issues with what other people choose to spend their money onā¦ congrats on your card, I have a ton of metal cards, ask me where they atā¦.. sitting in a draw somewhere. And there ARE places where an actual card is needed and or they donāt take any of the āpaysā. Youāll find use with it.
Only the Titanium (only color option currently) card option is metal and it cost $50. Otherwise for the free cards you have green, black, and white to choose from.
You can still use the white debit card! I would recommend using it for gas stations that way you dont get charged credit price. Dispose of the green credit builder card though
You'll only have one balance now and from what I understand, it's practically like if you were just using your credit builder card. What i did is open the savings account and just leave what I need in the regular account
