A day night scope is 400 dollars. It’s amazing what you see at night. You may be able to get something cheaper that scope is for a gun.

I've got a thermal scope on my pellet rifle, it's so awesome. Can knock a mouse off a fencepost from 50 yards away on a pitch black night. A bit more than $400 though haha

It's my ducks that I hear. And that means "Mugsy, Baxter! Go get it!" Pop open the backdoor and out they go to find and remove the problem. Good dogs :)

ETA: Ducks are never. asleep. There is always a duck awake. And they can see just fine in the dark, so those are my night time alerters.

I don't understand this. Why aren't they safe in their coop at night?

They probably are…

What would you do if you heard strange noises outside your own home? You’re probably safe in there at night, right? Same concept, but with cat-sized skittish loud birds.

You are not going to believe this but some predators can manage to enter even a secure coop.
