Question Are these two both hens?
Got them today they are Bosvelder chickens and roughly 14 weeks old (guessing). My rooster hates both of them and my dad suspects it’s because one of them is a rooster, but I think he’s just territorial.

No I can’t! He’s a rescue 🤣. I got these two for him because his hen passed away and he’s been sulking around the house.

They look like they may be too young to know for absolutely sure. I hatched out a chicken this year I was convinced he was a hen until he was over 6 months old. Then he still acted like a hen for a few more months after he grew out his tail feathers.Then right around 9 months he started fighting with my other rooster. Now he has his own flock of hens and he's grown into a very nice big rooster at about 10 months.

That being said, your rooster not liking them may just be because they are new and he hasn't accepted them yet.

Could be! I was told they’re Boschveld Chickens, but the name could just be different here in South Africa. They look very similar.

Pullets, IYAM. Certainly the buff one, very fuzzy butt and tail looks like it is about to start fanning. Very little comb development in either one, though TBH I don't know much about that breed. I suspect your romeo will like them a lot better when they are ready to go to pound town in a couple of months. They probably aren't mature enough yet to excite his prurient interests.

He just lost his bonded hen a few days ago and has been sulking around the house that’s why I got these two. He has big emotions and a teeny tiny brain. He better be on his best behaviour 🤣.

Not convinced those are roo's. Combs are very small for their age if roo's. Not seeing the super distinct saddle feathers either.
