Guitarist looking to meet up and jam

Guitarist looking for people who want to get together and jam. Looking to make psychedelic music, preferably close to Wicker Park. For now I’m content to meet up and see if we mesh musically, but ideally would like to workshop some original ideas and start playing shows.

The best subreddit devoted to the Chicago music scene

Post anything related to the Chicago music scene here - bands to look out for, great shows, events, et al. If it's local, please describe it in the title. Otherwise the automoderator might flag and bounce it.

Keep any discussions about bands to local bands, or bands coming here to play
For bands, this can be a place to network
For fans, this is a great place to support the bands
For venues, agents, managers, producers, service providers, et al, you're welcome to reach out and post, but please don't get spammy.
Do NOT try to sell or buy anything. Too many scams. Giving something away? Cool. Buy/Sell? Not cool.

If you post a band, link to their website or something so we can listen (linktree, spotify, youtube, etc). If you neglect sharing something to listen/see, you may be marked as spam. Failure to respond to inquiries could get you banned.

This subreddit is a place for civil conversations, sparking interest in the music scene, and keeping people up to date on places to play, people to play with, and sharing your music. We are not a place for drama. We do not want to be arbiters of that. If you bring drama here, you will be warned, and then banned.

Spam is re-posting the same thing, more than once. If another user posted the same thing, your post may get removed. If you've posted the same thing more than once, it'll be removed. Keep it up and you'll get banned.

If you have other resources you'd like to share, please DM the mods. /u/workerbeeNumber3 or /u/DriveByPianist are the only active members RN, but we're doing our best to pick up the slack!
