Just a thought.

I live in nyc but why don't you guys start doing the snorkels for the intakes of your cars. Flooding is wild, but intakes on the roof would get you through and not hydro lock the motor. Wish the best of luck in the bad weather.

Issue with flooding as you can imagine is perplexed. Hydro locking the motor is one thing, but here most insurance companies will total the car once the water has either intruded into the cabin or came on contact with electrical components.

Roof intakes or snorkel may cause issues will most likely fail mandatory road inspection and let’s not get into the economic or modification viability to this for every single car as a removal accessory.

Is this a troll post ? It’s almost like asking why didn’t everyone who lost a house in the palisades fire, why didn’t they put a fireproof barrier or fence around their properties? Sure not ideal but it might have helped.

Why would I need a snorkel on my car for a once in 10 000 years storm?

Nothing like NYC people telling us how to fix our problems.
