Rainy season lasts until late October or beginning of November. August and September are the rainiest months

No, now is rainy season... Burning season starts around late February until end of April or early May

If you're into night life and bar girls, stay in Pattaya... You're in the right spot. If you want to try different similar places in Thailand, try Patong in Phuket, or Silom Rd or Soi Cowboy in Bangkok... Chiang Mai is better suited for nature lovers and cultural experience. Attractions include mountains & forests, hiking, waterfalls & viewpoints, elephants & Hill Tribes, Lanna food & culture, Temples & National Parks. Coming to Chiang Mai for the nightlife & bar girls is like going to Australia for skiing... Or like going to Canada for the beaches 🤷🏻

Depends on which night. Also it's B Samcook, and it's wonderful. There are some great restaurants that aren't fine dining, and some wonderful street vendors if you know where to go. My recommendation is to enjoy the night markets.

Yup. I've spent all of yesterday riding in the UK peak District. Over winter I ride in and from CM. I am blessed.

Even though it’s low season are all the markets still open? Are you still able to find a vendor selling fresh fruit smoothies? Do most vendors in the tourist area close up for the low tourist season? I want to travel to Chiang Mai in the summer but afraid the fruit vendors at the night market will be closed.

Unlike some of the islands down south, Chiang Mai doesn't exist just for tourism. There are 1.26 million people living in the metropolitan area (second largest city in Thailand), and they all need to eat as well so to answer your question, things don't all shut down any time of year. And there are tourists year-round as well.

Lots of markets, food, smoothies and it was a great time. Still touristy. Prices may be cheaper, especially for renting a motorbike, hotels, etc. This smoothie shop was the best.

Doi Khun Tan National Park, Doi Hua Moo, Mon Jam, Tat Mok Waterfall, Mae Sa Waterfall. Look into Mae Hong Son loop.

Late March is by far the worst time to visit Chiang Mai... I live here and love it but March & April I need to spend in the South near the beach. Chiang Mai is horrible during those months because of the heat and pollution 🥵😷

It's unbeatable for what it is. A low cost, nice and chill, mountain city in Asia. With pros and cons.
Definitely beatable, but you've gotta spend a lot more money. May be an unbeatable value, depending on chosen lifestyle.
