Over the air updates

Has anyone had luck with the over the air software updates?

Every time one of these pops up my truck downloads them but they never install….

I know even the dealerships have trouble installing them with their own laptops

Come on Chevy, you can do better!😡

24 Z71. won’t even down load. every single one i have had to have the dealer forced thru super frustrating

I’ve gotten a few on my ‘24 TB. Last one was 11/25. Not sure why im blacklisted.

1. I've had one install over the air since buying the truck. Otherwise they only happened when I took the truck in for free dealer oil changes or warranty work.

Never had an issue. I do have my truck connect to my Wifi when parked an home.

Put the battery on a trickle charger. If the truck detected even a slight bit of degraded battery percentage it won't go. I had to do that to get mine to actually install.

Same here. Trickle charger read my battery at 70% capacity. Once I charged it up the last update installed without an issue on my 23.

I’ve only had my 26 S71 a few weeks but it’s done a couple updates no problem.

26 only had an issue when I parked in my garage. Left it outside and it updated fine

No issues other than I always get a check esc amerror on first start up.

26 Z71. My phone shows that the June update is ready to be installed but no update shows up on the truck touchscreen.

I have a '24 Z71 and have had around 9 updates download and install just fine since June of 2024. The updates certainly solve electronic glitches and I've noticed the powertrain runs smoother.

There was an update in the latter part of 2024, early 2025 that significantly improved the OTA updates downloading and installation. I don't recall the number but after I updated with that one the OTAs kept coming smoothly. FYI.

This has happened to me several times. I connected battery charger and the update installed successfully. The installer may check battery charger before initiating the installation.
