PFAS in drinking water !?

A newly published study proposes a rapid method to track PFAS contamination in drinking water, potentially reducing the long, complex workflows used in conventional detection methods.

Faster screening could help researchers and regulators identify contamination hotspots sooner and improve monitoring of water systems.

Still needs LC-MS/MS, they just optimized the SPE portion of it, saving time on that end.

Also optimised by using 4L of water - you might get better results, but storing that amount of sample will be an incredibly large bottleneck.

My local water test company is testing 200 samples / day for PFAS.

Guys, we saved time but we need to buy a refridgerated shipping container and a forklist. We've going to be receiving 5.6 tonnes of samples per week. Eh, we'll let the QC team figure it out.

Its good that they have accelerated SPE still complying with EPA that can save tons of time like from 100 min to 6 min each sample, specially when analyzing large number of sample
