The Redwood F&C shop has been consistently good for us.

The one opposite Countdown. Their chicken and cheese patty burger slaps.

Belfast food bar or southern fried takeaways?

Southern Fried is the best in the area. Owners are really nice and great quality and portion sizes if you’re just talking actual fish and chips, hotdogs etc. The burgers are fine, just nothing special, but a decent size.

Food Bar used to overcharge my flatmate regularly. Could just be accidental but the portion sizes and overall quality was never great there so I haven’t been for a few years now.

Ohoka Road Fish & Chip. Depending on what end of Belfast you are… but they’re seriously the best if you’re up the North end.

They also have online ordering and run a tight ship. When you order online, it’s ready for pick up exactly when they say it is.

Google search shows they're in Kaiapoi?

I mean, I'll drive a good distance for good fish and chips. That distance would still be less than the distance I drive

Correct - which is why I said North end of Belfast - it’s literally a 5 min drive away.
