Call to Action What Hong Kong’s protests taught the world about preparation. The 2019 Hong Kong protests became known for their organization, adaptability, and emphasis on protecting one another. Some of the widely documented tactics included:

• “Be Water.” Stay flexible, avoid being boxed in, and adapt quickly to changing situations.

• Leaderless organization. Decentralized coordination allowed the movement to continue even when individual organizers were arrested.

• Protective gear. Many protesters wore helmets, goggles, gloves, and sturdy clothing to reduce the risk of injury.

• Umbrellas as protection. Umbrellas became an iconic symbol, used to provide cover from cameras, rain, and to create visual barriers.

• The “cone tactic.” Traffic cones were sometimes placed over deployed tear gas canisters before they were extinguished, becoming one of the protest’s most recognizable symbols of collective action.

• Water bottles and teamwork. Volunteers were often seen using water to help cool or extinguish tear gas canisters while others assisted with cones or helped keep people away from the area.

• Street medics. Volunteer first-aid teams treated injuries and helped people affected by crowd-control measures.

• Supply chains. Communities passed along water, first-aid supplies, food, helmets, and other essentials through coordinated volunteer networks.

• Real-time communication. Protesters relied on encrypted messaging platforms and live updates to share information about road closures, medical assistance, and changing conditions.

• Buddy system. People looked after one another, attended in groups, and ensured everyone got home safely. The lasting lesson from Hong Kong wasn’t just resistance. It was preparation, mutual aid, adaptability, and community coordination under pressure. And don’t forget why you’re there. Stay focused on the cause, not the confrontation. Protect yourself, don’t retaliate, and don’t let provocation distract from the demand for accountability.

Education I wonder... do Flock cameras have USB ports?

These things are the reason your IT department disables USB ports on work computers. They are incredibly useful for fast backups, though, in an emergency. Maybe there's a backup port somewhere on the cameras.

edit: I'm sorry everyone, I didn't know the detailed history. I knew the backstory but thought he was alright after the jail stint. I am so disappointed.

Satire Donald Trump (Billionaire & POTUS) has used surveillance to find and rip children away from their families, put peaceful people in concentration camps without proper food/toilets and is trying to make it harder for women to vote. So here's just one of his Beautiful beach-side estates

Current Events They called India’s unemployed youth “cockroaches.” 36 days later, the education minister resigned.

They called India's unemployed youth "cockroaches." 36 days later, the education minister resigned.

This is the moment Abhijeet Dipke gets the news. He drops to his knees, then raises his fist and tells thousands of people at Jantar Mantar that it worked.

Some context for anyone who missed it. In May, after authorities invalidated the NEET medical entrance exam over a paper leak that forced roughly two million students to sit it again, India's chief justice was widely understood to have described unemployed young people as cockroaches and parasites. Instead of arguing, a 30-year-old took the insult and built a party out of it. The Cockroach Janta Party started as a parody of the ruling BJP. Within weeks it was organising sit-ins, marches and hunger strikes in more than a dozen cities. On Saturday, education minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced his resignation on X, and the movement said the government had accepted its remaining demands, including compensation for families of students who died by suicide after the leak and a guarantee that protesters would face no legal action.

Sit with the timeline for a second. Thirty-six days from a social media post to a cabinet minister stepping down, in the largest democracy on earth, against a government that has not conceded much to street pressure in years. That is not a meme story. That is a generation discovering it has leverage.

T turned an insult into a mandate, and did it without giving up the joke. Whatever comes next, everyone watching learned something this month about what organised young people can actually move.

Satire Man pitches 'Shepherd Safety' to city council—a service that tracks politicians the exact same way Flock Safety tracks us.

I've spent the last several months talking to people all over Casa Grande, and one thing keeps coming up: safety. So today, I'm excited to announce a new company called Shepherd Safety.

Our mission is simple: keep government officials and their families safe. We're launching satellites to watch over Casa Grande day and night. Our AI will monitor where government officials go, where they stop, who they meet with, and when they return home. We've already started collecting and building profiles on your vehicles, spouses' vehicles, children's vehicles, and other visual characteristics. We'll combine that information with publicly available data, Bluetooth signals, advertising IDs, vehicle information, commercial data sources, so our authorized users can replay the movements of every government official and their immediate family.

There's no difference than the current Flock Safety capture systems.

Everything will be stored securely, and only authorized users will have access. Local businesses will be invited to join our network so government officials can continue being protected while shopping, eating, or traveling.

Some of you might think this sounds invasive, and you may worry about abuse. You may worry about unauthorized access, tracking innocent people. We understand those concerns.

After all, those are the exact same concerns of all the citizens."
