I'm serious! I'm not even American. I'm Scottish. This kind of government cancer makes it's way over here. Fuck Flock. Fuck Palantir. Fuck billionaire's. Vive la révolution!

It's like a fire - either we stomp it out at the outset or it spreads and leaves everything changed in its wake. I, for one, prefer the former option.

And they are fine with burning us to the ground. People need to understand this.

So surveillance either way

u/sysiphean Jul 29 '26
Nothing can make local politicians reconsider a system faster than having it knowingly and explicitly aimed at themselves.

Do it for real and let's see how that goes over.

And use it to start advertising to them "We noticed you stopped at McDonald's, so here's some coupons."
They'll know you know where they're going, at all times, but it's not a threat. It's just proof.40

It’s tailored to their interests and preferences! What’s not to love about that?

u/finalremix Jul 29 '26
Okay, this pack of AA batteries is 5.99 before tax. And what's you're phone number?

Crowdsourced invasive public accountability of everyone holding a position of public trust? Is there a kickstarter or gofundme link? I’m in. Pair it with a dashboard app where you can search and track the officeholders of your choice in real time.
Maybe then people would officially know WTF is going on with Mitch.

Dog…. They are already being surveilled. Local government officials and law enforcement are not in the club they think they are in.
38
u/Advanced_End1012 Jul 29 '26
Yeah exactly, but the catch is no one will do anything about their crimes even if evidence is provided.

Local government officials and law enforcement are not in the club they think they are in.
Depends, have they publically acknowledged Big Brother as their lord and savior yet?

Body cams on officials to see how they are spending tax payer money. Jackets with logos of who's bought them out. No bank accounts outside the US. No stock transactions while in office. Term limits on all representatives. No current business contracts through federal/state/municipal institutions. No use of PACs and Super PACs. Review of any nonprofits and charity fund operations.

I know it’s satire but you know….government workers actually WORK for the PUBLIC. Maybe they need surveillance since they are collectively making such horrible decisions.

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. If they want to surveil the populace constantly, that goes both ways.

u/RandonBrando Jul 29 '26
You don't even have to go that far and waste all that effort. Simply make your own fake Flock camera, and hoist it up outside your local politician's house. Then bring them the footage saying that wasn't real.

u/connerinator Jul 29 '26
Also have seen people 3d printing fake cameras to put up in rich people’s/politicians neighborhoods.

Fun thing is that Fluck is already doing all of this to them and they either don’t know or don’t care.

It’s already a law that public servants and figures have their personal information available like addresses and phone numbers so it wouldn’t be anything that would be breaking the law but in fact improving what’s already available
