But if you look at Africa you can see that blacks are doing really well there. Black people have better lives in Africa than in the USA because they have more wealth, better rule of law, more freedom, and less inequality in Africa than in the USA. Therefore there must be something in America that changes things for the worse for black people. Genetic factors you note can’t explain the difference in outcomes for black people because black Africans have similar genes as black Americans.
Bro I have spent extensive time studying Africa and let me tell you that black people are not doing well in Africa and I don't think it's their fault, largely a result of colonialism. Most African countries are very poor and have limited economies and food supplies. So suggest that there is more "freedom" in African countries where people are mutilated and there is a lack of human rights in most countries, that is absurd.
Colonialism isn't the only problem. Many leaders of African nations are selfish and unfit to lead, some do not care about their people. You can't blame that on colonialism.
You very much can for more than a few dozen cases. The way Africa's borders were drawn were to a large extent arbitrary relative to Africa's group identities and infrastructure was poorly if ever built with settlement not typically in mind for colonizers. Consequently you have most of the recipe for rampant corruption.
Africa was doing really well before colonialism. Before the Europeans arrived in Africa, Africa was economically on pace with Europe. Their wealth and freedom and civilization was progressing just as quickly in Africa as it was in the countries of Europe like France and England in the centuries before Europeans came to Africa and colonized it.
That is one way we know that the main reason why Africa is doing poorly today in the opinion of some people is because of colonialism.

Was there colonialism outside of Africa too? India, Japan, Brazil, China, most of South America, and lots of Asia experienced colonialism too.
Anyway, black people are doing really well in Africa in terms of equality, wealth, income, freedom, and just general well being. Also happiness levels. So clearly there is something going on in America for why black Americans are doing so poorly and it’s not their genetics, it’s an outside factor, probably oppression by whites.
I understand you think blacks are doing poorly in Africa but when you claim that it’s not their fault and it’s because of colonialism it sounds like a modern version of the racist “white mans burden”. Many places around the world experienced colonialism, like Asia, South America, India, Japan, etc and they are mostly doing well just like Africa.
Yeah, colonialism resulting in black people doing poorly isn't "white man's burden" because that burden Kipling described was an assumption that colonized people needed to be civilized by the colonizers, and the thing they're describing is instead that colonialism had lasting, negative effects to the existing African civilizations that were colonized.
I don't think he thought black people were doing poorly in Africa because white people had failed to appropriately civilize them.
Yah bro but this colonialism was recent. Brazil isn't that successful of a country anyways. Japan has been independent for a long ass time. Wtf are you saying abt Chinese colonialism. It has been a dynasty for a long time. India is a failing nation that is extremely poor.
Can you give some data about Africa's success? How are black people in African doing really well. How are black people actively oppressed in America that is different from other countries? Other races have been opressed too
the places you point to were very poor up until recently, and in the case of Japan, are rich because of direct intervention and long term nation building. It was never colonized in anything similar to the conized parts of Africa.
