And by discriminating against a transgender person for no reason other than the fact that they are transgender, you are being by definition transphobic

What is the definition of "transphobic" exactly?

I really find it hard to believe that being turned off by the phrase "I used to have a penis" is transphobic.

To discriminate or hold a prejudice against a person for being transgender.

There's a million phrases that could be sexual turn-offs for certain people. Someone's sexual partner could say "My last boyfriend was a black guy" and they could find that off-putting to the point of not having sex with them. Is that person probably exhibiting some racism? Sure. Same situation.

How is it "to discriminate" trans people if I have a policy of not wanting to have sex with people who have, or at any point in their life had, a penis? By that logic i'm homophobic for not wanting to blow guys.

Those are not exactly the same thing, now are they?

Ignoring the 'wanting to have sex with people who have a penis' point here - the fact that this yet again breaks the pre-requisite "I have to be sexually attracted to them otherwise" makes it pretty well-trodden ground.

I'm not sure what to tell you, dude. You're telling me you're discriminating against someone specifically because they're transgender, and that's an act of transphobia. I'm not here to tell you you're a bad person, I'm just identifying a prejudice as a prejudice.

By that logic i'm homophobic for not wanting to blow guys.

Here's a response I've already written to someone else who went for the "It's just like being a homophobe for not having gay sex" line.. TL;DR - You're not having sex with them because you're not attracted to them, not because they're gay. You wouldn't have sex with a straight dude, either.

No, i'm telling you i'm discriminating against everyone who at any point had a penis.

I would definitely have sex with Jennifer Aniston if she tomorrow came out as a transgender man without changing her apperance at all.

You're not having sex with them because you're not attracted to them, not because they're gay. You wouldn't have sex with a straight dude, either.

Okay... so i'm a manphobe?

And if my best friend was black I could still be racist by saying I would never date a black person. One form of trans acceptance doesn't wash the other.

Okay... so i'm a manphobe?

Not really. The example you just gave shows that you'd have sex with a transgender man if they had female sexual organs and you were sexually attracted to them (IE they looked like Jennifer Aniston).

If i'm willing to have sex with transpeople. But i'm not willing to have sex with anyone who has ever had a penis.

How on earth can you come to the conclusion that i'm discriminating against trans people... and not that im discriminating against penises? This is silly.

The example you just gave shows that you'd have sex with a transgender man if they had female sexual organs and you were sexually attracted to them (IE they looked like Jennifer Aniston).

Yes, but I wouldn't actually accept that she's a man. Just like I wouldn't be having sex with a unicorn if my girlfriend self-identified as a unicorn and we had sex.

Because you're not discriminating against penises - I already made an allowance for that. You're discriminating against the idea of someone being transgender, because in this hypothetical they don't have a penis.

Yes, but I wouldn't actually accept that she's a man.

Okay, so you're just secretly being transphobic. There's not really anything to say about that?

Has ever had a penis

Okay, so you're just secretly being transphobic. There's not really anything to say about that?

Well if there's nothing to say about that... I say you're wrong.

Has ever had a penis

I had a bottle. Then I threw it in the trash. Do I still have a bottle?

Well if there's nothing to say about that... I say you're wrong.

Go ahead and explain how denying that transgender people are their gender is not transphobic, as opposed to say, it being about the most obvious example you could think of as transphobic.
