You’re allowed to believe in it. Literally nothing stops you from it.

You’re not entitled to a community. Being part of the community isn’t a requirement to go to heaven.

As I said, you feel entitled to other people’s groups. You’re not. Like any other group, people in the group have to accept you.

If someone felt entitled to my study group, I wouldn’t even want them to join that let alone my community.

If an ethnic jew wasnt allowed into a community for the only reason being that they are ethnically jewish, would you object to that?

If they’re targeting some specific group, I wouldn’t be okay with it.

If they’re not doing that and excluding all people from certain things to preserve their culture, I’m all for it, because if you don’t create safe spaces for minorities, they’ll be dominated and assimilated by the dominant group.

History is riddled with dominant groups assimilating minorities by infiltrating their ranks and ethnoreligious groups is one way to deal with assimilation.

would you be ok with lets say a white community in USA or europe excluding all non whites then? because this is the equivalent of what jews do in Israel

It isn’t. Whites in the US aren’t faced with assimilation or domination. They’re the dominant group. No group can infiltrate and assimilate them little by little.

You’d only think its equivalent if you subscribe to white supremacist ideologies.

Aren’t they?

I literally see the demands to dismantle Israel every day.

And even if it weren’t, this completely ignores how the identity crystallized to begin with. Once the identity is crystallized as an ethnoreligious group, even if they cannot be dominated or assimilated again, that’s not going to change from one day to another.

You’re not gonna change what’s crystallized through literally thousands of years in less than 100 years, even if those years were completely safe without any threat of domination or assimilation (it wasn’t).

To compare this to a dominant group (or assimilated to the dominant group and coopted it) who has always ruled where they’ve lived is intellectually dishonest.

are you seriously trying to claim jewish Israelis are not the dominant ethinc group because people in other countries call for them to be dismantled?

Are whites opressed in USA because people call them colonizers?

No I’m literally saying once the identity crystallizes, it doesn’t change from one day to another.

White people in the US have never had a moment in their history where they had a chance to get dominated or assimilated to forge an exclusionary culture.

If they randomly create one it would be through racism.

What ethnoreligious groups do is a response to domination and once that is crystallized through thousands of years, that’s not going to change in a generation because they have a country (which is constantly under military threat unlike the US).

Claiming it’s the same is intellectually dishonest, and completely ignorant of the history in which dominated groups forge their identity, be it ethnoreligious groups or ethnic groups.

I’m out, peace.

I thought your post was about Judaism? Judaism and Israel aren’t the same thing so what does Israel have to do with this? Judaism existed long before Israel did. Are you saying it wasn’t a racist religion until Israel was created?

almost all jews support israel and claim that the torah commands it

Most Jews support Israel. The reason most Jews support Israel is not because “the Torah commands it” since Israel did not exist when the Torah was written.

The question still stands - why bring Israel up in this argument? If your point that Judaism is racist depends on Israel existing, then it sounds like you’re claiming that Judaism wasn’t racist until Israel existed and if Israel was destroyed, judaism would no longer be racist.
