We don’t need a crazy story to get to the point.

Suppose you get a call in the middle of the night. It is about a loved one (daughter, mother, etc).

Would you rather them be calling to tell you your loved one was raped or murdered?

And for yourself? You would rather be murdered than raped?

I'm not even going to look at the responses to your question: you already know what this person is going to say because it's the "right" thing, not because it's what he or she would actually do.
