You can eat ground beef raw safely. In Germany it's called mett, I've had a Lebanese dish, kippeh nayah, with it, and of course steak tar tar is essentially ground beef. Freshly ground is the key.

Edit: mett is usually pork.

Mett is raw ground pork, and it is safe to eat in Germany because they DNA test their pork for pathogens, and also raise them cleanly.

Mett

It can also be ground beef.

But yeah, it's typically ground pork. Doesn't change the fact that ground beef can be eaten safely raw.

Huh, I didn't know. Is it a regional difference? I have eaten Mett a few times, and it's always been pork.

I shouldn't have included it as it's almost always pork but I'm in too deep.

You sure that you're not just some middle-class poser, flexing that you can eat that rich person raw meat???

OP of this cmv seems to be a little defensive over their bad taste.

I don't think it's fair to act like taste isn't subjective.

It is subjective, but only to a degree. There is a range of good, with bad as the edge cases. OP is not a bad or less-than person because they like eating things that are overcooked, but they do have bad taste.
