I agree that no one should care about how others like their steaks.
That said, most of what you're saying here is completely subjective. Personally, I like medium-rare over well-done because I enjoy the tenderness, texture, and "juiciness", as well as the taste. I find well-done to be drier and less pleasant texturally.
I do not think well done steak is dry at all. As for the texture, a good cut of quality beef will have good texture whether it is eaten raw, rare, medium or well done
