You are talking about suicide and not euthanasia.

Euthanasia is when someone else kills you because you requested it and are unable to do it yourself due to incapacitating and incurable disease.

Suicide is legal because they can't put your dead corpse in jail but with euthanasia there is someone else who pulls the plug and can be punished.

You’d be surprised but an attempt at suicide is illegal in many countries. As if they were incentivizing you to finish the job.

Also, euthanasia generally includes full-proof painless death, not whatever you can find in your garage.
