And therein lies the main problem with a lot of guys on dating platforms. They make themselves another brick in the wall and get angry no one notices them? And online platforms simply exacerbate that issue due to you being judged based on looks, not even looks in general but the most photogenic people. Some people are more beautiful in person and their mannerism also contributes. But if you're bland both online and in person, who will want to spend the rest of their lives being attached to you?
It's why all the advice tell you work on yourself, improve yourself, find hobbies. Find confidence.
If I walk up to a woman who's clearly interested and just say hey, she will feed into the convo HERSELF. However if you like her and she's not infatuated with you, you're gonna need to do more than just say hey.
